The Selangor Turf Club will close its main track for upgrade and returfing effective 15 April 2024. Following the successful results from the test plot upgrade between 950m to 850m in July last year, the Club will proceed with Phase 1 of upgrading from 550m to the Finishing Post.
The Selangor Turf Club is set to host its first classic race for 2024, the EQUINE SANCTUARY TUNKU GOLD CUP on Sunday, 14 April 2024 offering prize money of RM200,000.
Singaporean Joseph Leck Kai Jin started his career in the racing industry as a Syce on 3 February 2009 at the Singapore Turf Club under the employment of his uncle, trainer Charles Leck and later moved to work in the stables of Trainer David Kok for 6 years.
