No feature racing in Melbourne this Saturday but the ten race card is full of depth with open betting fields and value to be had.

We'll be looking to a last start winner in the cerise and white for our best of the day in Race 9 while a recent Chris Waller import caught the eye first-up and can hit the frame at each-way odds with tab.com.au in Race 6.

Race 1 - Catanach's Jewellers Hcp (1100m) @ 11:40am

Stanley Express (1) won a million dollar race on debut here, running on strongly to score over 1200m. Has to give them weight now but looks talented and can go on with the job. Thats Archies Girl (10) is a filly by Per Incanto on debut for the Hayes yard. She won a recent trial impressively and looks to have good early speed. Will take catching. Tropicus (6) is a colt by Too Darn Hot on debut for the Freedman yard. He's won a recent jump out leading in and draws well. Can measure up. Too Darn Discreet (7) was only beaten a head on debut at Bendigo and will be better for the experience. Can figure at odds. Stormbourg (2) was good in The Showdown and will be running on.

Tip: Backing Stanley Express @ $2.80 with TAB

Race 2 - Ian Miller Bm70 (1400m) @ 12:10pm

He's Beset (6) is a consistent 4yo gelding who resumes here. He had two runs last time in, placing in both. They were both behind the talented Jimmysstar which reads well for this and Childs should give him a good ride from the soft gate. Crackerjack Prince (1) resumes. He's right up to winning this at his best with form in better races than this. He's got a solid record over this trip and has raced well fresh. Respect. Seb Song (4) resumes. He's run well fresh in the past and his best efforts are good enough to be competitive in this. Cuban Link (9) was out classed at Bendigo last start but was good prior and can bounce back. Georgie Get Mad (3) next best.

Tip: Leaning to He's Beset @ $2.80 with TAB

Race 3 - Rod Griffiths Bm70 (1400m) @ 12:40pm

Brazen Lady (7) won well two back at Bendigo before another strong effort here in a rich race when third, beaten just 2.5 lengths by a smart type. She looks to get every chance again here on the map. Our Red Morning (4) was left with far too much to do first up over 1200m at Mornington but hit the line nicely. Gets to 1400m now which suits ideally and with even luck from the inside gate she'll go close. Fancify (8) wasn't far away first up at Morphettville Parks and brings a solid profile to this. We've seen her run well in Melbourne. Jenny Jerome (2) will be hard to hold out if the tempo is on.

Tip: Equal staking Brazen Lady @ $6 with TAB and Our Red Morning @ $4.80 with TAB

Race 4 - Rod Fenwick Hcp (1600m) @ 1:15pm

Sure (5) was ultra-impressive on debut at Pakenham, running on strongly from midfield to score by nearly 5 lengths. Drawn awkwardly here but looks to have a very bright future and can measure up quickly. Fistsoffury (1) was rock-solid in the G2 Tulloch Stakes last time out and did post a strong win at this track and distance the start prior. Has to give them all weight but should be in the finish. Elphinstone (2) has won 2/3 starts this time in, coming clear to score by a length in the Vobis Sires Guineas here last start. Keeps measuring up and can do so again. Knucklebones (3) is a very lightly raced filly who beat a small but select field first up at Cranbourne. Don't underestimate. Esskay (4) next best.

Tip: Backing Sure to measure up @ $5.50 with TAB

Race 5 - Jra Bm84 (2500m) @ 1:50pm

Let'sbefrankbaby (5) looks nicely placed to peak here fourth up from a spell, getting out to 2500m. She's a Group 3 winner over this trip and hit the line well here over 2000m last time out. Will be very hard to hold out. Taramansour (2) was very good in the Wagga Cup when last seen behind the smart Fawkner Park. He's better suited over this trip and will take some beating. Sing For Peace (7) ran first up over 2000m and did well in third behind the talented Sea What I See. That form should hold up strongly. Garachico (6) was good behind an in form stayer at Flemington and can figure. Hoops (8) is coming off a win and should be thereabouts.

Tip: Let'sbefrankbaby to win @ $4.00 with TAB

Race 6 - Darren Gauci Bm78 (2000m) @ 2:25pm

Quantum Cat (4) is a lightly raced import now with Chris Waller who made his Australian debut at Mornington and ran well over 1600m, working home well into fourth. He's a dual winner over 2514m so the rise to 2000m now is ideal and this is easier than last time. Albanian I Am (11) is coming off a soft win here over 1800m when getting a good run on speed. Finds another suitable race and should be in the finish again. Chihuly (2) is racing well, winning two back before a solid second to a horse with good credentials. Strong chance. Fagin (13) brings the Sea What I See form from his past two which should hold up. Moveforlex (6) next best.

Tip: Backing Quantum Cat each-way @ $7.50/2.70 with TAB

Race 7 - Lamaro's Hotel Bm70 (1400m) @ 3:00pm

Bossy Nic (1) has had two runs back from a spell and looks nicely placed to take this out now. She's a good filly who has been amongst the finish in two harder contests this time in. Back to benchmark grade and her own sex, she should go close. Miss Aria (2) is a nice filly in good form. She was beaten a nose at listed level in Adelaide when last seen and did beat Bossy Nic home prior here. Must be a strong chance. Floozie (11) wasn't far away at all in the Adelaide listed race. She's always promised a bit and with even luck from the gate will be hard to beat. She's Bulletproof (3) hasn't missed the placings in five runs to date and looks capable of measuring up against these. Fragile Love (6) has to turn the tables on a couple but is in the mix.

Tip: Leaning to Bossy Nic @ $4.60 with TAB

Race 8 - Selangor Turf Club Bm100 (1400m) @ 3:40pm

Devoted (8) had no luck on resumption in the Country Discovery at Yarra Valley and looks far better suited out to the 1400m here. He ran over this trip twice last time in, running Amenable to a head and beating Here To Shock, both of which read very well. First Accused (7) is a consistent Tasmanian horse who comes over. He's got the ratings to be competitive in this and he loves the 1400m. Don't underestimate. Gentleman Roy (1) is the class horse in the race but is off a year long spell. Has a tricky draw to contend with as well. Watch the market. Savannah Cloud (3) looks suited stepping up to 1400m now and should be thereabouts. King Magnus (2) races well second up and should be in the finish.

Tip: Backing Devoted @ $4.80 with TAB & First Accused @ $21 with TAB

Race 9 - Blueblood Thoroughbreds Bm84 (1600m) @ 4:15pm

Frigid (6) looks the one to beat again. She was heavily backed to win at Mornington and did so well, scoring by 1.5 lengths. Stays at the mile again but finds a similar race here and looks to get a good run midfield. Papillon Club (8) is the danger. She worked home well late last start in a Vobis race here over 1400m and looks like she's crying out for a mile now. Her best efforts go a long way to winning this and she can land closer from the inside gate. Lethal Thoughts (9) is racing well and should be in the finish again. No issue with him out to a mile now. Farhh Flung (10) was behind Frigid last start but is racing well and in the mix. Golden Path (7) next best.

Tip: Keen on Frigid @ $2.90 with TAB

Race 10 - Sportsbet Photo Finish Refund Bm84 (1200m) @ 4:50pm

Open race. Semillion (8) was good here last start in the Vobis Sprint when second to Who Dares and that form reads well. He doesn't win many but is going well this time in and can roll forward and give a bold sight at each-way odds. Starlight Scope (12) was big odds on resumption in the Listed Hareeba Stakes at Mornington but ran very well for a narrow fourth. Looks nicely placed back to benchmark grade here. Prancing Spirit (16) has been around the mark in two runs back and should be ready to fire here from the soft draw. Bellinger (15) struggles to win but is going well and should be in the finish again. End Assembly (14) can improve off a modest first up run.

Tip: Semillion each-way @ $9.50/3.10 with TAB
