The rail will be in the true position and the track is currently rated a good 4.

We've had a close look at all ten races on the program and our thoughts can be found below.

RACE 1 - 11:40PM: CATANACH'S JEWELLERS HANDICAP 2YO (1100 METRES)

Stanley Express was brilliant on debut in the VOBIS Showdown here.

Taken back to last off the wide gate, he crept through along the rail and when presented in the clear, charged to the line to score by half a length.

The son of Starspangledbanner had indicated good ability in two jump outs prior and showed plenty of professionalism on raceday to get the result.

Luke Nolen provided him with a 10/10 ride on that occasion, he stays onboard with the race experience and good natural improvement, the pair should prove hard to beat again.

RACE 2 - 12:10PM: IAN MILLER HANDICAP BM70 (1400 METRES)

He's Beset returns to the races.

The former Kiwi has only had the two Australian starts, in which he performed well on both occasions.

From wide draws he covered ground, finished off strongly and he looks to have plenty of upside.

A son of Darci Brahma he looks nicely placed kicking off over 1400m and with two solid trials under his belt, he's ready to go.

The blinkers go on for the first time and from barrier three, he'll be afforded every chance under Jordan Childs.

RACE 3 - 12:40PM: ROD GRIFFITHS HANDICAP BM78 (1400 METRES)

Our Red Morning resumed with a very encouraging effort over 1200m at Mornington.

Allowed to drift back to the tail off the wide gate she powered through in restricted room in the straight to finish right on the heels off the placegetters.

After kicking off her career in New Zealand, where she just had the two runs, the Redwood mare recorded her maiden win at just her second Australian outing and went on to make it three on the trot.

Sent to the paddock after a luckless run in the Ladies' Day Vase, she looks to have come back in top order.

The rise to 1400m will suit and she's set to receive all the favours from the inside draw.

RACE 4 - 1:15PM: ROD FENWICK HANDICAP 3YO (1600 METRES)

Elphinstone is building a very tidy record and comes off a strong win in the VOBIS Platinum Guineas.

The Street Boss filly went for home at the top of the straight and produced a good kick to hold off the fast finishing Modown.

She has continued to perform well throughout her eleven start career and the form around her is solid.

There's a lot to like about her here as she gets the advantage of the inside draw and will carry just 54.5kgs after the claim for Jaylah Kennedy.

RACE 5 - 1:50PM: JRA HANDICAP BM84 (2400 METRES)

Letsbefrankbaby has been racing well and will relish the rise to 2400m.

Her first two runs back from a break where full of merit as she worked home strongly under 63kgs on each occasion.

With a good draw and 6kgs weight drop last start, she was strong through the line over 2000m in the VOBIS Gold Heath and she should find this a touch easier.

A winner of the Group Three SA Fillies Classic over 2500m last campaign, she's a class mare and the extra trip here looks ideal.

Ethan Brown goes onboard for Robbie Griffiths and Mathew de Kock.

RACE 6 - 2:25PM: DARREN GAUCI HANDICAP BM78 (2000 METRES)

Arden Green will start at a big price but with the two runs under his belt and the rise to 2000m, he could be right in this.

Only lightly raced, the Wandjina gelding continued to improve last campaign as he stretched out over further but was sent to the paddock after seemingly going amiss at Moonee Valley.

He hit the line strongly when resuming over 1500m at Sandown and was solid through the line last time over the mile.

Zac Spain goes onboard and for David Brideoake and Matt Jenkins and the gelding won't know himself with just 54kgs on his back.

RACE 7 - 3:00PM: LAMARO'S HOTEL HANDICAP BM70 (1400 METRES)

Miss Aria presents here in top form having just gone down narrowly in the Listed Nitschke Stakes last start.

The daughter of Zoustar won well when resuming over 1000m on the Heath before a solid effort to charge home into third here two runs back.

She's fit, she drops back in grade and gets in nicely with the 3kg claim for Tatum Bull.

From barrier nine you'd expect to see her settle back in the field and be doing her best work late.

RACE 8 - 3:40PM: SELANGOR TURF CLUB HANDICAP BM100 (1400 METRES)

Gentleman Roy returns to the races off a long break.

The seven year old hasn't raced since contesting the Stradbroke Handicap back in June last year where he was beaten 5.4 lengths.

A class horse, he has competed at the top level throughout his last two campaigns and should find this much easier.

He resumed last preparation with a win in the Listed Barton Stakes before losing the CF Orr Stakes on protest at his following start.

Fitness won't be an issue for him here as he's had the benefit of four recent jump outs and he does boast a very impressive first up record.

Celine Gaudray will goes onboard and will take 1.5kgs off.

The main concern in the wide draw but if he can get across without doing too much work early, he'll prove hard to beat.

RACE 9 - 4:15PM: BLUEBLOOD THOROUGHBREDS HANDICAP BM84 (1600 METRES)

Papillon Club has been very good in three runs back this time in.

She has no luck when disappointed for a run in the straight two starts back and closed off strongly last start over 1400m here.

The daughter of Toronado showed plenty of promise early on the has performed well against quality opposition.

She comes here at peak fitness, the step up to the mile looks ideal and the blinkers go on for the first time.

Greg Eurell has engaged Celine Gaudray to do the steering and take 1.5kgs off and from the inside draw. she's set to enjoy a cosy run.

RACE 10 - 4:50PM: PHOTO FINISH REFUND HANDICAP BM84 (1200 METRES)

Lounge Bar Rubi resumes off a short break.

The Rubick gelding had been performing well last campaign in similar company and comes here off a recent 800m jump out.

Unbeaten in two appearances at Caulfield, he has also won four from five over the 1200m so he looks ideally placed here.

His first up record isn't flash but he did strike an unsuitable heavy track when resuming last campaign and also on debut.

Luke Nolan has been riding well since his return from injury and he'll do the steering for team Kavanagh.
