Peter Hardacre admits he can't wait to get Press Down back to Flemington on Saturday.

He'll almost certainly start favourite in the Santa Ana Lane Sprint Series Final.

"I think he's gone to a new level," Hardacre told RSN.

"I'm excited to see what he can do."
