RACE 1 - OPPORTUNE CHANCE (6) failed to live up to her firm market support last start at Strathalbyn when going amiss. Willing to forgive on best efforts and the booking of Todd Pannell reads favourably. Can bounce back sharply. LAILA'S A GEM (4) showed good early dash last time and led for much of the way before being swamped late to just miss the frame at Port Lincoln. Strips fitter third up and should be tough to rein in. SHEEZAHIFLYA (10) next best.

RACE 2 - HER EXCELLENCY (7) has failed to make an impact in her two runs back, lacking any early muster in both starts. Strips fitter third up and is capable of a much better showing with Eaton sticking. BONJOUR MON AMOUR (1) returns and has trialled well leading into this. Gets in well at the weights with the 2kg claimer engaged and is a strong chance to break through. KUITPO KISS (3) was no match for an impressive winner last start at Kingscote but battled away gamely to hold down a minor placing. Cherry-ripe now and is among the key chances.

RACE 3 - SACRED CHORD (11) is a Your Song gelding stepping out on debut for the Searle & Callanan partnership. Has impressed at the trials and can make the perfect start. UTILITARIAN (9) finds the maiden win elusive but it certainly hasn't been without trying, most recently beaten a long neck at Kingscote. Blinkers going on first time should have him sharpened. Expect him to play a major role from the low draw. RADIANT KNIGHT (8) has struggled to threaten of late but has been tackling better opposition. Will find this easier and is in the mix. NISKO TU (4) was poised to strike on debut but just lacked a fitness edge late. Better for the hit out but is drawn ugly. FLYIN' FOR US (3) chased gamely to the line without threatening last start in town. Fitter third up and deserves safe keeping.

RACE 4 - ONE SKY ABOVE US (8) has been thereabouts of late but just struggles to land the winning blow. Rates highly on best figures and should prove tough to stop. TUFF OPERATOR (9) was denied narrowly of resuming a winner at Port Lincoln, before bouncing back off a disappointing run at Balaklava with a strong closing effort at the latest. Cherry-ripe now and is drawn better. Can give this a big shake. GALLIUM (13) has failed to live up to market expectation in her two runs back. Strips fitter third up and is worth one more chance on best figures. KETCHIKAN (7) raced on the speed from the outset last time out and knuckled down gamely to finish third. Drops back in trip and is drawn to settle prominently. Has the ability to be in the finish.

RACE 5 - CHARLESFORT (3) was quick to put his disappointing finish on the Parks track two back behind him at the latest, when narrowly missing at Kingscote. Drawn sticky but warrants plenty of respect on best figures. MUFFLA (1) progressed nicely last start when chasing into a narrow second. Shoulders a handy record at this trip and should be peaking now. LORD OF DARKNESS (7) has been around the mark in four this prep. He has the pace to get handy and that could be a big advantage that might help him convert his solid form into winning form.

RACE 6 - LUCKY FORTUNA (3) doesn't win out of turn but was did look close to a win before tackling a tougher field last time in town. Easier this time and is worth following up. REDWINELOVER (8) hasn't taken a step wrong in her last two, as she shoots to bring up the hat-trick. Tougher this time but goes well over this journey. Winning form is good form. EFFORTKAT (2) drove hard to get the verdict two back. Not as effective last time but still chased hard to finish fourth. Drawn well and usually races well at this venue. In the mix.

RACE 7 - LEON'S SHOUT (9) showed good early toe and stalked the leader last start before fading in the run home. Drops back to a winning trip and is capable of a much better showing. RUN AND TELL (2) resumes and is next best. Draws low and has the space to get up there and take up the running. If they leave him alone he can take pegging back. FOURTH POWER (5) resumes after five months. Has typically taken a run and been a better shout second up but he has the talent and he should be in the mix.

RACE 8 - GRANDELLIE (10) progressed sharply last start at Bordertown when rattling home to get the verdict. No tougher this time and can make it two on the bounce. RODNEY (3) doesn't win out of turn but has been turning in some solid performances of late. Only needs to hold his form to be competitive. CHAMPAGNE AFFAIR (11) capitalised on her narrow defeat first up with a dominant win at Lock. Not too much tougher but is among the key chances. SHIKANIC (5) next best.
