RACE 1 - Unraced 2yos and the race day betting will be instructive. GEEGEES MISTRUTH (4) has impressed both trials and will be tough to beat bringing that form to race day. MS TASMANIA (5) was a big trial winner and also appears to have good ability. OLIVE GIRL (6) looked good winning her trial on the same day. GEEGEES LEGACY (1) has Pires and the rail and will be ready to go.

RACE 2 - Competitive. PEROLA (11) resumes off two soft trials. Led and went close in an Open 2 on debut and was okay here that grade after. Draws handy and gets in well with the 3kg claim. MISTER MANIHI (1) is an improver from the Keys yard and can build on the 1L defeat here first-up. Pires sticks and can secure the run of the race. SHOOTING NORTH (2) has only placed once in seven starts but has displayed some ability and has to be kept safe fresh.

RACE 3 - PENNINE (7) has placed her last two this trip and had excuses his latest as a short-price favourite. Finally draws a low barrier and can go one better. CO ACCUSED (4) won this grade at the mile and is ready for the middle distance. Lightly raced and will keep improving. PREWINGO (8) missed a nose resuming over 1600m and has strong figures at this distance. She sits handy and can step up. LAUNNIE NIGHTS (1) has needed the two runs this prepartion and would be right in it at best. The 2100m looks ideal now.

RACE 4 - BETTER THAN BANKSY (1) resumed off a peak beaten 1L and hit the line well. Pires sticks in the saddle and he has more to offer. Fitter and should go close. NEV'S BOY (9) looks a value chance going on the nose defeat here three-back over this distance. Has a small claim but some trust is required. GEE GEE GOLDENLASS (7) won here first-up in this grade and then close to repeating at Launceston. Fitter again and should be right in it. DING DING (4) resumes and is sharp fresh. Has had a trial warmer and the 3kg claim brings her right into it.

RACE 5 - BOKEO (1) was just nudged out on resumption behind Cheeky Word and has more up the sleeve. Can secure the run of the race and is sure to take beating. LA VIRAGO (8) was plain first-up but is much better than that. Won here only second-up outing and will ride the speed from the inside gate. Rates to go close. CARTOON GRAVEYARD (2) resumes off the heavily bet Maiden win here and has won a trial in readiness for this. Will be naturally improved but owns a trial win. Will race well but the niggle is the wide barrier. ENCOUNTER SPHERE (5) is third up and could surprise. Has placed at Listed level and third-up.

RACE 6 - NICCO THE GREEK (1) has threatened both runs this preparation and third-up can find his best. Keeps the handy 4kg claim and can go one better. STEEL MIST (5) will be fitter and also has more up the sleeve. SWING KING (6) disappointed as favourite here up to the mile. The on-speed galloper won't be disadvantaged back to a sprint. In the mix. AFRIDI (9) races forward and is an improver from the kets yard. Has an inside gate and fitter will give a sight.

RACE 7 - ALVARINHO (4) resumes and was narrowly beaten both starts last preparation. Owns a solid trial and McCoull sticks from that. She will be ready to go and rates strongly. GEE GEE QUEEN BEE (1) wasn't disgraced at Mooney Valley and the two runs at Launceston prior stack right up. Peaks and looks suited. MAKE A DECISION (5) just missed first-up and then delivered the CL1 win here as expected. She has more upside and may sit closer today from an inside gate. Should get every chance to repeat, TITLE SHOT (3) led and won the 60 here first up and has more up the sleeve. She can't be ruled out as well.

RACE 8 - Competitive. GEE GEE MISS QUITA (3) races handy and is busting to win. Comes back in grade and is ready for the mile. McCoull is reunited and she should go close. SUNSET GUN (4) has won two of her last three with the latest here over this distance. Has a small claim and can win again without surprising. FREAK ON A LEAD (1) ran close to his best winning the 68 and can build on that. The 4kg claim brings him into it. RODRICK'S SECRET (7) just missed behind Sunset Gun in a return to his best. Has a key gear switch and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Has winning claims as well.
