RACE 1 - ACRES AWAY (5) returns from a break of three-and-a-half months and has yet to miss a place in six starts, winning four of them. Ended last prep with a third over 1350m at Doomben to follow an Eagle Farm win. Unbeaten both fresh and at this distance. Readied with a trial so looks nicely placed. OCEAN EMPEROR (1) last appeared in July when beaten 2 lengths at Ipswich. Now under the care of new trainer Kerrod Smyth and has found a good race for his return. MEDIA EMPIRE (2) has been in the placings at his last two starts, finishing second last time over 1100m at this track. Hasn't missed a place here. Major player. SABOR (3) was consistent last time in so is worth keeping safe fresh.
RACE 2 - NASHA (5) couldn't get into the action as favourite last start but had put together a string of top-three finishes before that including a win at this track and trip three back. She was also a close second in a higher-graded race two back so is worthy of another chance. PARAMEDIC (6) improved second up last start when he worked home well but found a couple better over 1400m at this track, beaten less than 2 lengths. Fitter again so could take this out. MURRAJONG ROAD (8) hasn't been far away of late, chasing well to get within 2L of the winner here last time. Draws lower so can be involved again. EDIFICATION (1) will be fitter for resent racing so could show more.
RACE 3 - PLAYFUL KISS (2) switches from the Quinton stable having raced just twice in NSW, highlighted by a Newcastle placing on debut. Now with Kevin Miller and while she hasn't raced for more than a year she will be ready to go off a couple of trials. DIVINE KAMEHALANI (7) looks close to delivering having recorded a fourth successive placing when beaten less than 2L into third here last time. Can make an impact again. POTESTAS (1) returns after three months in the paddock but his best result was when he placed on debut so must be included fresh. GREEN PARK (8) put the writing on the wall with an improved showing last time.
RACE 4 - PEGGIE BOOM (9) continued a run of top-four finishes when she found the line nicely last start for third over 1200m at this track. That put the writing on the wall and her best results have come at this shorter trip. She is drawn to advantage so can break through. ALIKICK (2) hasn't raced since an easy winner of his maiden in his second outing at this track back in February 2021. Expect he'll be better for the run but has been readied a trial and has shown ability. THE GRADUATE (3) is back after a break of five months and does perform well when fresh. Looks one of the genuine hopes in the race. DESERT MOON (1) should relish the distance drop having won both attempts at this trip.
RACE 5 - PEPPERDINE (1) made his Queensland debut and scored a commanding win at Mackay over 1200m at his latest appearance in August, the only time he faced the starter in that campaign. Has upside and comes here with definite claims. GENERAL WOLFFE (9) improved last start when he did his best work late and missed by only half a length over 1300m at this track. He could be hard to hold out. WAR TOO ALL (4) turned in a solid effort to place first-up at this track then was only beaten 2.5L last time over 1200m. Could peak third up. OBLIQUITY (2) was too good for a maiden field when resuming last start over 1200m at this track, scoring by 2 lengths. Sparingly raced and has more to offer.
