RACE 1 - MAZITA (4) promising gelding resuming. Caught the eye late when third over 1400m at Tamworth on June 9 in similar company. Two trials should see him forward enough for this. BURRANEER BUOY (2) Todd Howlett trained gelding resuming. Will find this easier after running fifth over 1200m at Gosford on March 11. Expected to sprint well fresh with the two trials under his belt. Hard to hold out. VIS I DO (1) nice return when motored late to run second over 1200m at Tamworth on October 13. Strips fitter now and claim helps. IMPERIONESS (7) has a fitness edge over most of these and back in trip today after running sixth over 1400m at Tamworth on October 13. Stays in the mix.
RACE 2 - GINGER MICK (8) mixing form and hard fit for this. Trained on the track and expecting more here after running a plugging sixth over 1400m at Taree on October 20. Gets the winkers on today and can sneak into the minor money. SUNCRAFT (10) looked good three-back at Beaumont when second over 1350m. Recent efforts only fair and should relish the extra trip. CASUAL MOOD (2) good effort last start, beaten 2 lengths into third over 1400m at Wellington. Racing well and worth including. BOYS CRY (6) ran a better race last start to finish third at this track over 1500m. One of the main hopes.
RACE 3 - SMART AND DAPPER (4) racing well and due for a change of luck. Sat on the speed before tiring late when fourth with the 59kg over 1200m at Coonabarabran at the latest. Better suited this trip and will take catching from the good gate. PREFER TO BE READY (8) resumes after finishing a tiring eighth over 1250m at Newcastle in Bm64 grade on May 30. Not asked to do much in a recent trial and has good fresh figures. Genuine top-three contender. TITAN STAR (7) is hard to catch on his day and goes well this track and trip. Gets the right run from the gate today and looks good value. Stays in the mix. AMAZING NICCI (1) Sydney-trained mare who will find this easier after disappointing when seventh over 1100m at Hawkesbury on October 19. Best form has her right in this.
RACE 4 - MAN OF HEART (2) fitter after two runs back and looks close to his top. Ran on late when fifth over 1400m at Scone on October 27. Quick back-up and extra trip suits. Big improvement expected. ANNOINT (9) staying bred type improving with racing. Will find this more to his liking after running seventh over 1600m at Kembla Grange on October 21. Look for him late from the wide draw. A SILVERY WARRIOR (1) tried hard in the heavy (8) going when third over 1600m at Kembla Grange on October 28. This is much easier but will need luck from the awkward draw. FLYING DEEL (11) has run home well in both career starts suggesting the step up to 1750m here will be right up her gate. Watch for her rattling home once again.
RACE 5 - DRESSED TO KILL (4) resumed in good style with a solid maiden victory over 1000m at Tamworth on October 13. Handy gelding from a good stable who can go on with the job now. HARBOUR GOLD (8) is a promising Star Witness gelding who launched his career with a dominant win two runs back over this course and distance. Not disgraced when sat on the speed for a solid third over 1200m at Scone on October 16. This is easier and expected to figure prominently with the claim. SUNDAY BELL (10) two runs back have been sound, and this looks easier after running fourth last start over 900m at Newcastle on October 17. Finds a suitable race and has the ability to overcome the wide draw. ZIPPY ZOO (2) resumes and will be fitter for recent trials, placing in the latest at Warwick Farm. Should run well.
RACE 6 - HEIKA (6) is a smart Maurice gelding destined for better things. Well supported when he resumed with a solid victory over 1200m at Scone on October 16. Will keep improving as he gets out in trip and can win again. TOUCH OF NAVY (5) has a fitness edge over most of these and backing up quickly after sitting on the pace for a gritty second over 1400m at Scone on October 27. Gets the right run again and the 3kg claim helps. Go close. TAKARA STAR (10) promising mare with a good record when resumed five weeks ago with a tiring fourth over 1280m at this track. Has placed second-up and expecting more from the inside gate today. LADY SUPERSPY (7) comes here with definite place claims.
RACE 7 - ANOTHER VAL (1) was in need of the run when returned from a spell with a plugging sixth over 1300m at Newcastle on October 10. Strips much fitter today and drawn to stalk the speed. SWEET PROPOSAL (13) lightly raced filly who needed the run when returned with a plugging sixth at Hawkesbury over 1000m on October 19. Looking for this trip now and no shock to see her take this out. REGATTA (4) is a well-bred Real Steal gelding who looks ready to win with two solid runs under his belt. Distance suits and another who looks to have solid claims. BEDTIME (8) is yet to find the frame in two runs since resuming from a spell, the latest effort a fourth over 1010m at Moruya two-and-a-half weeks ago. Fitter and can go on with it.
