RACE 1 - HOSTAGE OF WAR (1) continues to race well with a win two back at this track before finishing a long neck away in third last time over 1800m at Eagle Farm. Should be prominent from the outset and looks well placed. LUVYOUANYTIME (4) settled back but worked home for fourth the latest effort over 1800m at Sunshine Coast. Suited up in trip and finds an easier assignment so could find winning form again. LUCASAYD (3) made some ground for fourth last start over 1900m at Gold Coast Poly. Well drawn so can turn things around. MASTER OF MENACE (6) is next in line.

RACE 2 - BRONZE DRAGON (2) resumes from a spell of six-and-a-half months. Has filled a minor placing at each of his four first-up runs, opening last prep with a second over 1110m at Doomben. Can make a winning return aided by the inside draw. PRINCE OF DIAMONDS (1) was last seen when winning at this course and distance in August. Can make an impact first up. ANCIENT MISSION (6) was racing well before the break and her lone win came at this track and trip. Respect. MASTERPLAN (4) progressed for a second up win and could go on with the job.

RACE 3 - LICENCE TO THRILL (6) is yet to break through in 19 runs but put the writing on the wall when he finished fourth after being in the firing line on the corner at his last appearance over 2210m at Ipswich. This offers him a great chance of breaking through. GOLDEN KINGDOM (2) placed on debut at Toowoomba then stepped up to this trip and boxed on when midfield last time. Has more upside than many of these. CARDIATIC (1) worked home to finish second last time out over 1540m at Gold Coast Poly. Must be included up in trip. WHEN DOVES FLY (8) can feature with the aid of the inside draw.

RACE 4 - ULTIMATE POWER (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just 1.3 lengths from the winner in third over 1625m at Toowoomba. Has a decent record at this longer journey. Hard to beat in this suitable race. RUDIMENTARY (4) put two placings together before finishing 3 lengths away over 2000m at Warwick last start. Placed to advantage so expect a big run. PROSPETTIVA (6) was down the track last time but had placed at his previous two so can atone in a suitable assignment. NAUGHTY HARRY (1) kept finding the line to place last time so the longer trio should suit.

RACE 5 - FLASH ZARIZ (9) was a winner two back at Dalby then found the line nicely last start for second over 1500m at Warwick. That made it three successive top-three finishes. Big chance again. GRANNY'S REWARD (6) is going well this campaign, scoring her second win from her last three starts when scoring by a length over 1400m at Gatton last time. Could deliver again. SUKHBIR (1) is close to breaking through after three consecutive placings, the latest coming when third over 1540m at Gold Coast Poly. Can feature again along with SCAPINI (8) who is yet to miss a place this time in.

RACE 6 - A BIT BAZARRE (1) last appeared when fifth in a C1 over 1600m at Moree five-and-a-half months ago. Looks suited in this line-up so should be right in the finish. PHARMA BOOM (12) is a six-start maiden who kept chasing when beaten just over 2L into fourth at her latest appearance over 1350m at Warwick. Aided by a low draw so this offers her a great chance of breaking through. BACHPACKER (2) is a gelded son of Rubick on debut. He has shown enough at the trials to make an impact. SUKKARY (14) returned from a spell five weeks ago when she was outpaced over 800m at Ipswich. She can do better stepping up in trip.

RACE 7 - Hard to knock the form of ANNAKURI (1) with back-to-back wins. Led and kept going to score by 1.3L last time over 100mm at Toowoomba. Big chance to land the hat trick. BADGERS NUTS (2) is better than what he has been showing of late and may appreciate returning to the turf. Freshened and has changed yards since the last outing. Blinkers come off and he is aided by a claim. ROMAN REIGN (11) comes here off a break of nine weeks. Scored over 1200m at this track to launch the last campaign. Has a solid first-up record of two wins and two placings from five starts. Contender. THE BRUMBY (9) is also in the mix.
