RACE 1 - KAPAKIRI (1) heads north after he was beaten 3 lengths as favourite at Warwick Farm last start. Had been consistent before that, placing in three of his previous four outings. Among the chances along with UNITED FRONT (4) who will be race fit now and put the writing on the wall in a last-start second.

RACE 2 - GOOMERI (3) resumes after a break of four-and-a-half months. Showed ability when winning two of three runs at the maiden campaign and will be fitter for two trials, winning the latest. One of the genuine hopes. SOOBLOND (7) has recorded a series of close-up efforts, last start when fourth over 1200m at Sunshine Coast. A good run is on the cards. ORACOLO (2) settled back but wound up late for a 1.2L fourth when resuming last start over 1000m at Toowoomba. Could progress. I AM FEARLESS (1) has been racing in good form and can be in the finish again.

RACE 3 - TYCOON MISTRESS (6) looks close to a win having registered minor placings in all three runs this campaign. Was in the firing line all the way and fought well to miss by a nose last start over 1000m at Ballina. Orman goes on. Race fit and ready to deliver. MARGOT'S BULLSEYE (11) has raced just twice so has upside. Worked home for second last time out over 1050m at Doomben. Can progress. EVER SO CLEVER (3) found the line nicely when resuming for third over 800m at Ipswich last start. The longer trip should suit. JONNY DA WOLF (9) must be kept safe debuting off a trial win at Doomben.

RACE 4 - BOOMING LAD (1) is progressive. Delivered a maiden win when second up at Doomben then went within a nose of backing that up in an open 3YO race at this track and trip last time. Race fit so can go one better. WINSOME STAR (6) wound up strongly to finish 1.3 lengths adrift in second when resuming over 1200m at Ipswich. That was just his second outing having won of debut at Sunshine Coast. Has upside and is among the main chances. RACE 6 - HELIKEDEMPRETTY (8) hasn't been far from the placings in two runs since a break, the latest when leading and sticking on to be beaten 2.4 lengths over this trip at Ipswich. Won her lone third-up attempt so is a great chance to break through. Could be hard to hold out. ORIENT'S SECRET (2) showed some ability last campaign including a maiden win at Ipswich. His best efforts have come at this distance and he has been readied with two trials. A LOT OF BOOTY (1) followed a maiden win two back with a second over this trip when he stuck on okay. Respect.

RACE 7 - IT'SMEMARIO (11) is progressing well and is close to a win after placing in both starts since a spell, the latest effort a 0.7L third at Sunshine Coast over 1000m. That will have brought him to his peak. Can win aided by a good draw. WARBY (1) returns from a spell of four-and-a-half months. Was safely held at the only appearance of last prep but had shown some decent form in NSW before that. Keep him safe off a solid trial. THE LIONS' GATE (4) is another that deserves respect resuming off a couple of trials. He returned some decent ratings last campaign and is drawn to get the favours. JUMP'N FLY (9) is fitter for recent racing. Include.

RACE 8 - MIGHTY WILLIE (5) has been in good form, scoring three back at Doomben then placing twice in a row at this track. Didn't miss by must in either of those, both in richer races. The engagement of James Orman is a positive move. Well placed. MONTABOT (2) worked home when fresh then ran a good race last start for second over 1680m at Ipswich. Building in fitness and the longer trip should suit. HIGHLAND CATHEDRAL (12) is delivering now and the rating through his last-start Ipswich win measures up. Last-start winner NOBLE CAT (6) will be peaking third up so is a player again.
