Smart Smerdon filly can rule large in the last at Morphettville on Saturday.

For this week's best bet we head to the last on the nine-race card at Morphettville, where I'm confident the Matthew Smerdon-trained Majesticity can make it two on the bounce to kick off her career.

The daughter of Under The Louvre was an above average maiden winner at Ballarat when running to 85 on the Racing and Sports scale, making every post a winner as she cruised to the line for a dominant 3.3L victory. The form from the race has stuck up solidly in 20 days with three subsequent runs producing a 1.5L maiden winner and a minor placegetter.

Fellow three-year-old filly Hajra (W Clarken & N O'Shea) appears to be the main danger after her barnstorming Murray Bridge maiden win, but she did only run to 68 on the R&S scale. While she's no doubt likely to improve second-up, she's going to need to and by several lengths. Majesticity also possesses a much more positive racing pattern that she should be able to utilise from the low draw (4), while Hajra in barrier nine (9) will most likely be looking to replicate her winning display with a booming finish, giving us another clear edge. It should also be noted Alana Kelly makes the trip across to stick with the filly in what is one of only three engagements for the Victorian hoop, and her most promising.

Another lightly raced prospect I'm keen to follow up on is Trumpty Dumpty from the smart R & C Jolly camp in race seven (7).

The three-year-old gelding took his time to work through his gears at Murray Bridge but was edging away late when scoring and shedding his maiden tag over this journey. The son of American Pharoah obviously tackles a deeper field this time with more exposed/experienced horses but I'm confident this gelding has a fair bit more to offer.

I like to see the blinkers going on first time and suggest this will have him sharper in the early stages and Jake Toeroek, who has partnered in his three runs to date, should be able to utilise the inside draw (2) and have him looming large when they sprint.
