Going back to Cup day for our blackbookers with horses to follow from Flemington and Randwick.

Flemington Race 2 – Warning

He was probably suited by the strong pace up front, but this was an excellent return from Warning who looks in for a good preparation. He's come home in the best splits of the race to grab second and running his best rating in over a year. I would think he's being prepared for another shot at the Magic Millions in January with the 2200m race again looking an ideal target. While the tempo definitely made him look like he was finishing faster than what he was, his past two first up runs have seen him finish 10th and 12th so he's right on track for something in the Summer.

Randwick Race 3 – Acappella Sun

This mare is always going to be a low percentage play so tread carefully, but this was a very good return over 1000m considering she was five lengths off the second last horse during the run. She stuck between runners trying to make ground and ended up running into fourth, beaten under two lengths by a few smart sprinters. She might've hit her mark but was racing very well at the end of last preparation and looks right on track for a 1200m highway this time in.
