Herbertson to serve suspension helping Sugars in NZ

Elite young reinsman James Herbertson will enjoy a short working holiday alongside some household Victorian harness racing names this week.

Herbertson will serve a current driving suspension in New Zealand and assist Greg Sugars with preparing Just Believe and Better Eclipse for this Friday's race meeting at Alexandra Park, Auckland.

The two Jess Tubbs-trained stablemates have remained in New Zealand following the Night of Champions meeting at Cambridge on April 12 which saw Just Believe win the TAB Trot and Better Eclipse finish hard for fifth in The Race by Grins.

This Friday, Sugars will drive Just Believe in the Lyell Creek Stakes and Better Eclipse in the Taylor Mile, with the pair to stay abroad for at least the following week's meeting at Alexandra Park.

On May 3, Just Believe will tackle the National Trot and Better Eclipse the Messenger before a decision is made on whether or not they then return home to Victoria.

Herbertson, who has driven 52 winners this season, will fly back home on Saturday before returning to the sulky on Monday.
