Little Louie has opened as favourite for the Tasco Petroleum Mildura Pacing Cup Final this Saturday night.
The Aaron Dunn-trained pacer is one of the lowest-rated horses in the series, but draws to advantage in gate one for tonight's second heat and is $4 with the TAB to win the $50,000 final.
Little Louie was a last-start winner from the front at Melton and before that chased home Helluva in the Charlton Pacing Cup on March 17.
Julie Douglas-trained Earl Of Pembroke has been met with early support on the all-in market - trimming from $6 into $5 - while Dangerous (Shane Sanderson), Glenledi Elvis (Ellen Jones), Helluva (John Justice), Kowalski Analysis (David Lewis) and Serg Blanco (Steve Duffy) are all $9 chances.
The first five horses across the line in tonight's two qualifiers progress to the Mildura Pacing Cup Final, which was won last year by Sahara Tiger.
Sanderson's eight-year-old is $31 to win the final in 2024 and $26 for tonight's heat against Little Louie, who is the $2.40 top elect.
