Cam Luke

Race 2 | 2. Arcora & 4. Azazel (SRM top 3)

Was really good in the Super Impose when having a similar run of what he will get today, right on back of speed! He is clearly a horse who enjoys the distance rise of which he gets today! Can camp off speed and be in the finish. I know Taggs likes Arcora and he will be another who comes out of the same right race . Big galloping boy who will need some space and the runs will need to present themselves which they didn’t at Flemington. I think one of these two will be in the finish. Highvol ran the Guineas like he needs way way further and he gets it today but it’s a steep step up In distance so I’ll stay away from but he is classy!

Race 3 | 4. Emphasize (each-way)

Can’t draw a gate but would have been in the finish anyway at MV last start with luck in straight. 1700m getting closer to his best distance and Williams goes on for first time this prep. Will be proactive and squeeze forward I'd imagine so a little luck needed but if he can find a backside he will be hard to beat and is over the odds and a great each way play!

Race 5 | 13. Spione (each-way)

Flies first up and has trialled well as per. Rain affected track to his liking and will get a really nice run in transit from the gate! Plenty of speed and the fave inside him, he can keep an eye on the 1 to beat!

MORNINGTON

Race 4 | 10. Vim Vitae

He won’t know himself being able to see the inside gate and it’s a big plus here! Blinkers on so expect him to be closer to front than back! He has been ok this prep in maybe slightly tougher races but the gate with more race plus staying at the 1500m are all big ticks!

Race 5 | 3. Rosa Aotearoa

Was pretty good resuming for new stable where he was touched off late. Will follow Golden Sprirz over from those wide gates and maybe even use early gate speed to go himself. He will have the added fitness so the 1200 is perfect. Only been on Soft once and that was in a race won by Scampi which was better than this. With a smidge of luck, he will be too good!!
HAWKESBURY

Race 3 | 1. Naifah

Resumes today debuting for Price/ Kent Jnr after two decent trials Sydney way of going. Comes out of better races last prep in Stakes races!! Will stalk the fave Sponars and have last crack. 1000m kick off is best and she will be very hard to hold out here!!

MORNINGTON

Race 5 | 3. Rosa Aotearoa

Very good on debut for Goodwin. Good gap to third that day, suggesting top two are better than maiden grade. Strips fitter, rolls forward and gives a sight.

HAWKESBURY

Race 7 | 7. Luna Bay

Broke her maiden last time in nice enough fashion but is clearly screaming out for further. Expecting Collett to land on-speed and make this a true staying test. She has upside whilst the rest of these are limited. If she gets a good steer, she should be winning.
