RACE 1 - PAPPIANA (10) has been below her best in her two runs back but did show glimpses late last start when closing into fourth. Peaking now. EXTRA BOUNCE (13) progressed nicely last start at Gawler when finishing quickly into third. Further improvement to come but has an ugly draw to overcome. RHINESTONE RORY (6) was beaten narrowly two back and then was an eye-catcher at Murray Bridge. Has another tricky barrier to contest but holds some appeal. GILDED AGE (3) was good two back but struggled last time. Tourneur sticking from a good draw is a positive. Don't dismiss lightly.
RACE 2 - Open race. THE PLASTICS (14) found the 900m too sharp on debut at Murray Bridge. Better suited over the longer trip and will be hard to stop if they can take closer order. GOONSUN (1) is a Fighting Sun gelding stepping out on debut from the Group 2 winner Goon Serpent. Found the line nicely under minimal riding in only lead-up trial. Crowther sticks from trial. Just needs a touch of luck from the barrier. PAINTED PONY (13) returns. Did show some positive signs in her debut prep without putting it all together. Looks to have come on nicely during the break on the back of a solid Morphettville trial. In the mix. PRODIGAL LAD (3) strips fitter third-up and looks best of the rest.
RACE 3 - TOGETHERFOREVER (7) found the line nicely fresh when in the placings at Murray Bridge. Not as good last start but this looks easier and gets a key booking in Pannell. Bold showing anticipated. MIDNIGHT POKER (3) progressed nicely second up when closing off solidly into fourth at Murray Bridge. Peaking now and is drawn well. Can give this a big shake. NURYS (4) shocked punters when saluting at longs odds first-up to shed her maiden tag. Improvement to come second-up and warrants a lot more respect this time. PULAMBI (9) returns and strips fitter for a Morphettville trial. Crowther sticks from trial and is drawn to get all the favours over a winning trip. Among the chances. FREE BEER (2) is another that returns and has won fresh before over this trip. In the mix.
RACE 4 - PUISSY GALORE (9) was strong to the line fresh over a shorter trip. Peak on his run second-up but was far from disgraced against tougher opposition. Peaking now and is the one to beat. SAVSONIC (11) made a mess of a maiden last start when putting the best part of 5L to her nearest chaser. Can build off that and be very competitive. MANDINO (8) is knocking on the door, placing in all three runs back to start the campaign. In the mix. MILITARY PRESS (3) has been showing glimpses that he's going to put himself right in the finish. Keeping safe at big odds.
RACE 5 - KING OF AVALON (3) was a dominant winner three back and has been thereabouts in his last two. Drops back to a winning trip and only has to hold form to be in the finish. WARRANDYTE ROAD (9) was better last start at Murray Bridge, beating home King Of Avalon by 2L. Gets in a fraction worse at the weights this time but warrants serious consideration. SALUTE THE STARS (6) shoulders a handy record here without saluting and has Toeroek sticking. Another one to consider. LOOKING SUAVE (7) has been a lot better in his last two starts. Been out the winner's circle for a long time but holds claims on best efforts.
RACE 6 - ALLEGEDLY (1) doesn't win out of turn but is knocking on the door. Will need some luck from the wide alley but goes well over this journey and holds plenty of appeal on the quick back-up. JEWEL DE LUNE (4) was solid fresh when in the placings at Murray Bridge, before clearly going amiss last time out. Can bounce back sharply third-up. FIAMETTE (6) lacks tactical speed, so could land in a tricky spot from the inside draw. Two-time winner at this track and possesses a strong finish. In the mix. REAL THINKER (12) is capable of a much better showing than his last run suggests. Keeping onside.
RACE 7 - EIGHT ON THE DOT (2) was super when resuming far short of a preferred trip at Murray Bridge. Only sound second-up but is ready to explode third-up. Key chance. LINES OF GLORY (4) knuckled down gamely in the lane to score handsomely at Mt Gambier. Tougher this time but is among the key chances. AEROETTE (8) has been thereabouts in her two runs back. Strips fitter third-up and gets some weight off. Can feature. PRIDE OF SHALAA (3) hasn't looked likely in his last two when always well back. Is capable of a big finish on his day and holds some intrigue on the short turnaround.
RACE 8 - PINCHBECK (10) was there to strike at Murray Bridge but was only sound through the line off a long break (297 days). Improvement to come second-up and gets the key jockey booking of Jake Toeroek. Bold showing anticipated. DAWNBURST (5) has shown improvement in her last two when tackling stronger opposition. Better placed this time and runs her best at this venue. Inside draw another positive. Key danger. DARE TO BE FREE (9) hasn't won for a while but has produced some solid efforts. Shoulders a handy record over this track and trip and gets in well again at the weights with the 3kg claimer sticking. In the mix. Smaller cases can also be made for JACOBS GATE (2) and LIMBERING (14).
RACE 9 - L'ESPERANCE ROCK (6) bounced back off a disappointing run at Gawler with a determined win last start. Track and trip winner and is well-placed to take another strong account of herself. STREETCAR APOLLO (4) gave backers a bold sight last start and fought gamely to hold down a minor placing. Will be tough to reel in with similar tactics applied from the low draw. ABIT RATTLEY (1) is building nicely into this campaign. Should be peaking now and is among the key chances. GAME COVE (8) was denied narrowly last start at Mildura. Gets in low at the weights with the 3kg claimer going on and is in the mix. LOMAX (2) possesses a big finish on his day and is worth keeping safe in this easier assignment.
