Racing & Sports expert selections.
RACE 1 - MISTER BIANCO (1) is a progressive type who hasn't done much wrong with two wins and a second from three starts to date with both victories coming over this distance range. Winning hoop Rodd sticks in the irons and he should be going very close again. JUST PRECIOUS (7) is facing the starter for the first time but showed ability in a recent trial and gets in light with the claim. Draws low and any market confidence should be noted. CREATIVITY MISS (10) jumped at prohibitive odds on debut but just ran into a couple better. Sure to be improved with that race experience under the belt and where there's smoke there's fire. Top-three commodity. TESSATORI (5) shed the maiden tag at the latest effort and will have derived a stack of confidence from that breakthrough victory. Not to be discounted. POPE CODY (3) got the maiden out of the way at Ipswich before being tipped out for time to furnish. Include with Orman on board.
RACE 2 - The Chris Waller-prepared TANNENBURG (11) looked good winning over this mile journey at Eagle Farm two back before making up a stack of ground late to place over this track and trip last time out. Gets Orman on from the favourable draw and can make his presence felt against this lot. VICTORY WIN (5) was another to make headway late here at the latest effort and should be at peak fitness for this. Looms as the main danger. MORE TROUBLE (10) wasn't disgraced in Group 3 company two back before just missing the placings over this course and distance last start. Will find this easier. FLEUR DU MONDE (3) strips fitter second-up from the spell and gets Maloney on board to navigate from the sticky draw. In the mix on best form.
RACE 3 - OUR ANCHORAGE (8) absolutely smashed them by six lengths at Hawkesbury two back before being right there at Randwick last time out. Drawn to get all the favours in running from the inside marble and should give this a mighty shake. OLD SONG (12) has won around this circuit and draws low. In the mix on best form. SECURITY ADVISOR (9) doesn't win out of turn but is usually thereabouts and is one for the multiples.
RACE 4 - The well-related WARBY (2) (half to G1 winner and stallion Captivant) has been knocking on the door of another victory placing in four of five this campaign and is yet to miss a drum in three attempts over this course and distance. Goes well for Maloney and strikes a very winnable contest. Rates the testing material. HELL (19) has been racing very well up north and deserves his shot in town here. Among the main chances. READY AZZ EVA (13) has a win and a second from two cracks at this track and trip and gets in well at the weights with the claim. Cannot be ignored. CORFE CASTLE (4) draws the inside alley and strips fitter third-up from the break. Likely improver with strong prospects. BLAZEN BOOTS (6) is a three-time winner here around this circuit and may run a race while fresh.
RACE 5 - SIZZLING GAL (10) got the job done over this track and trip at the latest effort and will have taken some confidence from that victory. Winning hoop Fenlon stays on top and again gets the benefit of her 3kg claim from the inside alley. Ticks plenty of boxes. OSMAN (6) has been in red-hot form this preparation with three wins and four placings from seven outings. Has been a model of consistency and has to be considered. UNCOMMON VALOUR (12) next in line with Thornton on board.
RACE 6 - AVONE (11) scored an effortless win at the Sunny Coast last start and again gets the benefit of Castle's 3kg claim from the valuable inside marble over this sprint trip. Can go right on with the job now. QUEEN ASSASSIN (5) has an impressive strike rate winning eight of 15 overall including four over this journey. Is another to get some weight relief and should give a mighty sight. MR GALAZI (9) has placed two of three over this track and trip and is drawn to get a soft run in transit from gate three. Can feature in the outcome. OSAMU (1) has been thereabouts of late and must be respected from the Gollan barn. In the mix for the placings. The well-related RAINBOW CONNECTION (3) (half to Hong Kong superstar Golden Sixty) rounds out the selections.
RACE 7 - The consistent BOHEMIAN LAD (4) missed a drum for the first time in eight starts last time out but wasn't disgraced beaten less than two lengths. Gets a jockey upgrade with Maloney reuniting who has three wins from as many steers and should get a gun run in transit from the low draw. Will be right there at the business end. TSARINA SOPHIA (15) has been plying her trade in tougher races down south and has tuned up for this with a recent Deagon trial placing. First run for the new stable and respect any market moves. LOVEWILLCOMELATER (21) hasn't done much wrong with a win and two seconds from three starts and can run a race while fresh. FIELD OF MYRTLE (12) is yet to miss the top-five in 11 career outings and is a must for the exotics players.
RACE 8 - BOOM TORQUE (1) loves racing at this circuit with three wins and three placings from just seven attempts and has won second-up before. Orman has only missed a place once in eight rides and should be right there when the whips are cracking. MANHOOD (4) is yet to miss a drum in five starts over this course and distance and will strip fitter third-up from the spell. Looks a serious danger. SPIRIT QUEEN (11) doesn't know how to run a bad race and gets in on the minimum with the claim. Top-three candidate.
RACE 9 - Open race to close out the card. TIDAL CREEK (10) hails from a handy family (half to G1 winner Vega One) and loves this course and distance with three wins and two seconds from seven outings. Gets in light with the 1.5kg claim and rates a serious contender on best figures. THIS'LLBETHEONE (14) has won over this track and trip and is drawn to lead them up from the low draw. Should give a sight. MILITARY EXPERT (2) will find this easier than recent efforts and looks one for the multiples. SNEAK PREVIEW (3) next best.
