RACE 1 - GI GI POPS (6) made an immediate impact in tougher grade on debut at Belmont, just missing as favourite by 0.6L. She should appreciate this grade today and there doesn't appear to be any superstars among this field. Expecting improvement on the fresh run and that should see her getting the job done. VENUS KING (5) trialled behind Gigi Pops on July 15 before winning his following trial at Lark Hill in an outing that suggested he wanted this trip on debut. He maps to get every chance for Azzopardi and it wouldn't surprise to see him put his best foot forward on debut. ASTRO WORLD (8) has shown some positive signs at the trials and has claims. HEWILLDOUS (2) will derive plenty of improvement from the debut effort and can be in the finish.

RACE 2 - ANTIQUE STAR (10) just missed over 1400m at Pinjarra (S) second-up and now rises to the mile for the first time. She was favourite on that occasion and was only gunned down late in the race. Further improvement is expected now out to this trip and she can notch up her maiden win in this suitable event. FOXY RASCAL (5) closed off impressively when finishing 1.6L off the winner and behind Antique Star last time out. He too is out to this trip for the first time and his racing pattern suggests it won't be an issue. He'll give them a big start, but he'll be closing off strongly at the finish. WEST MASSIV (7) was sound at Belmont last time out and is on the 8-day turnaround. Tracking along nicely and gets his chance again today. LONG WAIT (8) hasn't been beaten far in her past couple and holds claims if she runs to that level again. COULDHAVEBEEN (6) can build on a solid first-up run at this track.

RACE 3 - An open maiden. WOLFMAN (1) never really got into the race first-up at Pinjarra (S) and has proven he's better than that. Suspect he just needed to knock the rust off and he'll have improved coming into this. Lightly raced and drawing away from the inside helps his cause. Key player. EVERLASTING SPIRIT (13) will appreciate coming back to provincial level following a 4.2L defeat at Belmont last time out. Out in trip again doesn't appear an issue and while the wide draw is a niggle, she has shown good ability in her career thus far. CORRECT CHOICE (3) pulled up with an issue last start when favourite and has been switched to the Grantham stable since that run. The blinkers come off and Brad Parnham hops in the saddle. Can play a major role if he gets back to his best form. GALILEA (11) is better than he showed last time out and can bounce back. CHINO LA DIVA (14) is ticking along well without winning and is also a hope.

RACE 4 - CAPABLE ANGEL (10) got a long way back at Pinjarra (S) last start and finished 2.9L off the winner there. She draws a much better barrier today though and she had performed well at this course first and second-up this preparation. Best form is good enough, she just needs to produce it. TOP OF THE WALK (1) was in good touch prior to a poor effort last start when getting back and never featuring at Belmont. This is easier than what he's been in of late and he should appreciate that drop in grade. Drawn wide, but can be storming home over the top late. HELL'S CITI (2) ran behind a subsequent winner last start when beaten 2.2L and that form looks to be holding up well. He maps for a similar run this time and he won't be far away if he can run up to the figures he produced there. DREAM ILLUSION (4) gets the blinkers on again as he joins the Grantham stables following his latest run. Include. MARYBEE (11) has claims after a good run last time out which ties her into Hell's Citi.

RACE 5 - EXTREME LOVE (6) may have been run off her feet back to 1000m last start and looks suited out to this trip now for CJP. She'll get back anyway so the draw is no issue and the rating she produced to win two back stacks up highly in this. Expecting improvement with the rise in trip and she can return to winning ways. CLOSE AT HAND (2) gets the blinkers on for the first time following a 1.6L defeat as an equal favourite at Belmont 22 days ago. Cooper hops on now and claims 3kg and he's sure to be making his presence felt at the finish. KINGS SICARIO (3) just missed from well back last start when beaten 0.6L and now gets Brad Parnham in the saddle. This is tougher, but he drops in weight and his latest effort showed he's not far off a win. Live chance. BONNY ROCK (4) faded badly first-up at Belmont but was wide there over further. Back in trip holds the key and sharp improvement is expected. BUSTERS FREE (7) has claims on the back of some good recent efforts.

RACE 6 - LOMBADINA (4) was beaten as favourite over 1200m at Belmont last time out when having to do plenty of early work from a wide draw. Fitter again now and she draws a better barrier for today's assignment. Out to this trip for the first time though it does seem to suit, and she can return to winning ways today. ROMMEO (1) stuck on well from the back in a tougher race last start to finish just 2.7L off the winner following a good run in this grade two back. Winkers replace the visors today and the wide draw isn't a problem. He'll get back but be savaging the line late. MORE LIKELY (3) returned with a bold effort over 1400m at Pinjarra (S) and looks set for a similar effort this time around. Drawn nicely for CJP who remains in the saddle, with improvement expected second-up he can make his presence felt. TRESPASSING (9) went under narrowly at Belmont 15 days ago and holds strong claims. MISS DE BEERS (6) won narrowly at Kalgoorlie last start and is not to be discounted.

RACE 7 - Wide open race to end the day. DAD'S BIGHEADED (3) bounced back to form at Pinjarra (S) last start in this grade, just finding a couple better over the mile. Drawn wide again, but he'll make his own luck up front and he was a winner over a similar trip just three starts ago. Can return to winning ways. ATLANTIS BEACH (2) has been racing in much stronger company of late and returns to provincial level with the blinkers going back on. He hasn't won for over 800 days, though his form to begin this preparation suggested he wasn't far off. Can end his winning drought with a drop in class. DASH OF BRANDY (7) just missed in heavy going over the mile at Pinjarra (S) with wide and without cover throughout. He's racing well without winning of late and has shown good versatility in the process. Likely to go close again. TIGER LINE (6) beat a couple of these last start and has strong claims as he continues to improve.
