Australian thoroughbred TAB meetings are today held at Parkes, Strathalbyn, Casterton, Queanbeyan, Sale and Devonport.

PARKES: RACE 8 @ 4:42 PM

CRUIZINGDAFIELD (13) lightly raced mare who looks to have a ton of upside. Won well at second start in town last time in and since resumed with a gritty on-pace fourth over 1000m at Wagga on May 3. Has the speed to get across and strips much fitter now. Hard to hold out. STURN WORDS (6) at his top now and drops sharply in weight with the 2kg claim. Drawn to stalk the speed after powering late from the wide gate when fifth over 1400m at Wagga on May 2. Blinkers go on and looks one of the main dangers. STARROS (4) has been racing well and can feature again along with fresh winner CHEAP GAS (11).
SELECTIONS: Cruizingdafield to win.

STRATHALBYN: RACE 2 @ 12:28 PM

GEEIJO (7) couldn't live up to market support when resuming at Murray Bridge but did make some solid late inroads to finish fourth. Improvement to come second-up and the extra 300m suits him perfectly. Leading player. UNDERCOVER AGENT (4) wasn't far away when resuming at Bordertown, winding up strongly over the concluding stages to get within a length of the winner. Run on again gamely last start but not as effective. Should be nearing his peak now third run in. Can give this a big shake. MIST THE DEDLINE (9) resumes for the Blanch team and should be forward enough following a recent Gawler trial placing. Interesting to note the blinkers go on first time. One of the key chances. EXILED LOVE (1) is another that resumes. Has shown some positive signs in his three career starts but is yet to put it all together. Also debuts the blinkers. Respect any market support.
SELECTIONS: Backing Geeijo to win.

CASTERTON: RACE 4 @ 1:50 PM

DARTS DALY (4) looks the one to beat. He was good on debut at Hamilton when beaten a neck before tackling a stronger maiden at Warrnambool and finishing fifth, not beaten far. Maps for a soft run here and gets his chance to open the account. SQUID STING (7) struggled at Warrnambool but had been coming along well prior and can get things in favour here. ALCOSHARE (1) similarly struggled last time but did run second by a nose prior and that reads well. Just needs to overcome the tricky draw. DAD'S DREAM (3) was okay at big odds first up at Donald and will be fitter. RUNAWAY LOVE (10) perhaps next best.
SELECTIONS: Darts Daly to win.

QUEANBEYAN: RACE 5 @ 3:06 PM

The Nick Olive-trained local ONEFORIAN (13) peaks today and has threatened all three starts this preparation. Raced favourite at Wagga last time up to the mile and the on-pacer will be well versed around this tricky circuit. He's good enough and is well-placed. SONNY FELLA (2) dropped out sharply in the same race at Newcastle but missed 1L there prior. Will settle back again and will come at them late. HARDAZHELL (6) will also get back but did enough winning the CL1 at Goulburn to suggest he isn't out of it. BON ZIPPER (5) can play a role from the good draw.
SELECTIONS: Backing Oneforian.

SALE: RACE 6 @ 12:25 PM

LEGATUS (1) looped the field then found the line well to get up for third when resuming over this course and distance a fortnight ago. Faces a similar assignment today so with that run under the belt he is going to prove difficult to hold out. GODZILLA (4) has been brought south by the Snowdens after some decent efforts at the NSW provincials. On trial at this distance but should get all the favours from the inside draw. MAGADAN (2) made it three minor placings in a row when he edged Legatus out of second over this track and distance recently. Has been up for a while so might not have any more to offer but still appeals on an each-way basis. REAL ALLIANCE (3) warmed to the task late to get up for second over 1400m at Pakenham last start. Drops 6kgs with the claim and looks ready for this trip. STARK RAVING (8) will improve after a modest first-up effort here last time out.
SELECTIONS: Backing Legatus.

DEVONPORT SYNTHETIC: RACE 8 @ 3:40 PM

GALLANT WARRIORS (6) won back-to-back and has been good the two since. Had a tough run here last time in a 72 and has weight relief. Gets another chance. AND BEYOND (2) peaks and has gone close in Open grade his last two on the turf. Has to come back from the mile but is proven this course and trip and Newitt is a key jockey switch for the 3kg apprentice. ALPINE BLAST (8) won the 60 comfortably here finding his best. Has a low barrier and 3kg claim and a repeat dose isn't out of reach. SIR SIMON (1) resumes for a smart barn with a 4kg claim. Uses the rail and flies fresh. A player as well.
SELECTIONS: With Gallant Warriors.
