RACE 1 - MISTER MANIHI (2) should have broken through by now and is likely to resume improved. He has the handy 3kg claim and can control the race from an inside gate. Expect him to be ready to go. SHE PLAYS GAMES (7) improved again narrowly beaten here. Has an awkward barrier but Newitt sticks aboard. Should be right in it. CLOVER HILL (4) spiked her figures placing at Launceston. Will be further improved and maps for a soft run. WE ALL DECIDE (8) is an improver from the Cotton yard. Resumed in good order and gets a gear tweak. Lightly-raced and can get into the finish. MY DESIGN (5) is third up and will be around the mark forgiving the latest.

RACE 2 - Tricky. NATIVE CLAN (7) was narrowly beaten in stronger at Launceston and peaks today. Keeps Newitt and can break through. Stablemate LADY FERN (3) just missed in the same race and will be fitter again. Maps for the run of the race and gets her chance. PURR SEFANEE (5) debuts and spaced her rivals in a recent Longford trial. Finds a winnable assignment and the betting moves will tell plenty. SKY LAND (6) went close in the Native Clan race and is busting to win. A player as well. LAKESTAR (4) debuts owning a trial win. Keep safe.

RACE 3 - Competitive. SANDUAL (5) has been racing well at CL2 level and tumbles in weight for this assignment. His figures stack up and he should go close. JEHBENTI (3) was well-backed again and may have had excuses last time. The Hobart CL2 win prior was good and he has some weight relief. No surprise to see a bounce. THESPIAN WATERS (1) seeks the hat trick and no knock on his form. He's also a winning chance. CHEROKEE DANCER (4) was plain her latest but the form prior would have her right in it.

RACE 4 - Tricky. MAY WE ALL (3) peaks and disappointed as a short-priced favourite his latest. Is ready to show his best and he gets his chance to break through. MISS PRIVATE (9) is fourth up and is good enough to feature in this lineup. Newitt stays with her and that's a lead. HUBUBBAJAHN (12) was outgraded last time but went close here prior over a shorter sprint. Will push forward but has to run out the longer sprint. FRENETICO (2) was on-speed and sharper stepping up to this distance. Fitter again and also has claims.

RACE 5 - KIREINA MARUBRAH (5) missed a whisker twice and then led again and delivered an easy CL1 win at Launceston this trip. Has the speed to clear the awkward gate and she can go on with it now. CAPITAL CHEVAL (1) resumed with a 1.5L defeat in a CL2. He's further improved and fitter can make the finish. KINGS ON QUEENS (4) drops back from the mile but rates well and Newitt sticking is a positive. RUE DE PALAIS (2) has been out of the money recently but draws well and is a strong contender on his best form.

RACE 6 - A small field but it's competitive. JAGUAR STONE (3) had been racing in stronger and delivered the win coming back to this level. Draws handy and still looks well placed. INTISAR (6) was plain the latest but the form prior stacks up. She tumbles in weight this grade with a 3kg claim atop. The rails gate isn't ideal but the field size assists. TSUNAMI SAM (1) peaks and the 4kg claim assists the weight rise in easier grade. Comes to this fresh and is a chance. HELLOVA NIGHT (2) has been going around at Listed and Quality level at long odds. He's been freshened and can't be ruled on in this company.

RACE 7 - CORONATION KEELY (3) resumed sharply improved winning the Maiden. Should have the early speed to manage the wide barrier and she won't have to be much improved to take the next step. SIR JAG (4) failed to come on in an Open 3 but the two efforts prior stack right up. Expect him to be right in the finish. ROHZHAE (2) has been knocking on the door and was well-supported here last time. He deserves another chance. WHIZ BY (6) has generally been disappointing but draws handy and Newitt rides first time. He could pop up.

RACE 8 - FEAR THE STING (7) is fast and was back on track belting a CL1 field here by almost 3L as a short-priced favourite. She can control the race from the paint and will be tough to peg back. GREY WHISPER (6) raced a $3 favourite and spiked her figures winning the 60. Has a low barrier and she'll go close holding the form. MR FREEZE (9) peaks and is going well. Uses the low gate and keeps Newitt. Just missed heavily supported last time and looks ready to break a winning drought. BETTER THAN BANKSY (1) won and then missed a whisker in better grade. He carries more weight at this level but the 3kg claim brings him into it.
