RACE 1 - PROVANCE (3) debuts for the sharp Vandyke yard owning an easy trial win. 32% stable-striker Maloney is booked suggesting a bold run is likely. This is winnable. MISHANI DESTINY (1) is still new but did a good job narrowly beaten on the Sunshine Coast poly track on debut. The top hoop is booked suggesting he's pleasing. Will have taken fitness and learning. SOUL PURSUIT (10) debuts for the Heathcote yard and has trialled well. Has a handy gate and keep very safe. ZELEZNY (5) found one too good here on debut and then was well beaten at Eagle Farm and likely didn't handle the track. Has a wide gate but Rodd goes aboard and a much better effort is likely.

RACE 2 - TALTARNI FIELDS (1) placed at Eagle Farm on debut and resumed with a near miss here as a short-priced favourite. Won a trial leading into that. Will lead or box seat and is ready to win. ENCRYPTED ELEGANCE (14) resumed further improved with a nose defeat at Ipswich. She also runs along and should make short work of the wide gate. Kept on the fresh side and fitter should be right in it. ADRANOS (3) is an improver from the premier barn and Maloney stays with him. He will be around the mark. Ormanrides stablemate ABOUT TO EXPLODE (2) who can also show more third-up and can't be taken lightly. .

RACE 3 - Waller-trained HATASU (11) likely had excuses here two weeks ago and better to measure on the solid placing at the track prior. Has a handy 3kg claim and gives every indication she's looking for the middle distance. She will be hard to beat. ACES UP (4) was in the money at Ipswich and then found more like his best when beaten 1.3L at Beaudesert over a mile. Gets in well with the 3kg claim and is ready for the longer trip. Rates a strong chance with average luck from the awkward gate. YARRA PRINCESS (9) missed a whisker at Grafton over 1700m and then raced a short-priced favourite there and settled too far back. She can sit closer today and get some of the money. JUNGLE JET (6) is a likely improver in good hands.

RACE 4 - ITALIAN RIVIERA (1) was on speed winning on debut (Sunshine Coast poly) as expected. Got a long way back in an Eagle Farm Open 2 following and closed it off well. Fitter again and Rodd goes aboard. Rates the one to beat in this line-up. KENDYACATCHME (4) is an improver from the same barn. Rodd gets off but a claimer goes on. Will be improved and is a quinella hope. GE OF AQUARIUS (2) is third-up and can show more today. ZEPHYRZ ZOOM (9) showed enough placing on the poly to suggest she can get some minor money. The low gate advantages.

RACE 5 - BOOM IN THE DARK (4) races handy and placed beaten 2L here at his second race start. In the premier barn (Gollan) and is sure to keep improving. Has a handy barrier and Thornton stays aboard. FLYING D'AMORE (10) resumes for the Neasham barn and also rates well. Placed at Eagle Farm on debut at a short quote and the money came again at the Sunshine Coast and she was narrowly beaten in a blanket finish. Will be naturally improved and Maloney's booking suggests she's pleasing. TIPPED OFF (6) is a likely improver from the Gollan yard. Maps for a soft run and a top hoop rides. MARGOT'S BULLSEYE (15) was weak first up but showed plenty early doors. Has the blinkers first-time applied and can go a lot better.

RACE 6 - LUBRICATION (3) has raced in Listed and Group company but disappointed first-up here from a wide barrier (vet cleared). Prepared to forgive that and he has 2kgs weight relief today with the claimer going on for Orman. Fitter and he can get back on track. PIVOTAL LAD (7) resumes for the top barn off a comfortable Maiden win at Eagle Farm on debut. Has the rail and is sure to have come on. Expect him to be right in the finish. Stablemate HELL AND BACK (6) led and won his Maiden here and then came back and was narrowly beaten in a 65. He will ride the speed and the 3kg claim brings him right into it. ZELGARIA (9) is third-up and has plenty up the sleeve. Has a handy gate and 3kg claim and is worth consideration.

RACE 7 - TENZING (5) was spelled following the deserved 68 win at Eagle Farm over this distance and needed the first-up outing there. Has more to give and has won 2/4 second-up and placed the other two. Maps for a soft run and Orman stays aboard. MASCARET (4) missed a whisker here and at Eagle Farm after. They stack up and she's a decent chance to go one better. Orman gets off Waller stablemate JUPITUS (7) but Maloney is a more than capable alternate. Brought strong Victorian form to Eagle Farm following a freshen, but got back and wasn't placed under any pressure late in the piece. Is back after 11 days suggesting all is in order. On song he can feature. GOLDEELUCK (3) brings good form to peak and also has claims.

RACE 8 - Gollan-trained VELOZES (13) was well-trialled and licked off his career two narrow defeats here. She will keep improving and Orman is reunited. She's a bit iffy at the barrier but with average luck will be hard to beat. APFEL (6) impressed in a strong form race on debut and resumes with Michael Rodd booked. Has had a trial warmer and will be naturally improved. In a sharp barn and demands a betting watch. Ditto stablemate ZINOTAR (5) who was within range at decent city races before the spell. He's trialled and can come back even better. Needs a good ride from the awkward barrier. Waller-trained JONNY DA WOLF (3) was never in the picture here first up when heavily supported. The money came again at Ipswich following and he was narrowly beaten racing handier. Strips fitter and has more to offer.

RACE 9 - Waller-trained SKYWRITER (10) gave away a start but was much too good for the Maidens here over this distance. Maloney sticks and is likely to sit handier today from an inside gate. She looks capable of taking the next step. NIGHTSTICK (9) brings strong form from the poly and was backed off the map winning the 58 last time. Keeps Rodd and maps for the run of the race. Hasn't raced on the turf for a long while and that's a slight niggle.BANDASHA (3) is up to this and can show more third-up. Has the blinkers first-time applied and he will be looking to secure a soft run from the inside barrier. SHY GUY (6) resumes for Waller off a GR 3 over a middle distance. In good hands and no surprise to see him finish hard.

RACE 10 - A good competitive race. TYPHOON TAAVI (6) runs along and quickly returned to her best winning easily here against her own sex. Will skip across from the awkward gate and strips fitter. In the top barn and the 3kg claim brings her right into it. Gollan stablemate AMATHUBA (12) is busting to win and posted a strong figure beaten a nose at Eagle Farm in a 68. Orman stays aboard and she maps for the run of the race. From the same yard FUMIKO (8) is also going well enough to rate a winning chance. The claim and low barrier advantage. GREAT ASPIRATIONS (14) also lines up for Gollan and deserves plenty of consideration. THANKFUL HEART (11) resumes and is in a sharp metro stable. He has form that would see him very competitive and owns a 3L Doomben trial win. The late betting will be interesting with him.
