Rail - B Course

Race 1
#1 MY INTELLIGENT has been super consistent this season with the majority of those performances completed in the higher grade of class 4.The option to return to class 5 has now been taken and with the top weight to carry Zac Purton can take the ride.A big weight and wide draw doesn't really appeal to the eye over this particular course and trip, but he does possess the speed to offset the gate and his overall class takes him a along way.
#6 HERO STAR is better know for winning his races over the 1200m so the jump up in trip is ideal. With a 3lb claim for rider Angus Cheung on the table he'll be out in front from the get go, and in the process more than likely running fast time. With this contest his first over the course and trip in class 5, it's expected he'll take plenty of reeling back and may even prove unstoppable.
#10 DOUBLE SHOW hasn't drawn a low barrier for quite sometime but the last time he did he almost won. That particular race was in January over this precise course and distance where he also missed the start. He's since been dealt with unenviable gates and certainly wasn't suited by the kick back on the all weather last start. He doesn't win out of turn and is generally a runner to avoid but this is a situation where he's likely to run well.
#7 FIRE BALL is an aging but capable galloper in this grade and must be included in all exotics.Winning is also a possibility from the low advantageous draw but he's known for mixing his form. The market didn't like him at all last start when he drew the outside gate, but I'm confident it'll be a different scenario tonight as he returns to the city circuit.
#9 GENERAL ACE ran out of his skin to win a race in February when zooming home from well back to score. He then performed poorly before being well tried in betting at his next start where he ultimately finishing an unlucky sixth. He was never a chance at his most recent start when drifting in the market but with Vincent Ho up tonight, from a favourable draw, I'd be keeping an eye on the market.

Race 8

#5 SURE JOYFUL was sent out favourite two runs back but was put off guard when bumped leaving the starting gates. His form prior was excellent for tonight's appointed jockey Mathew Poon and the pair turned it on with a hard finishing second place last start. He's best settling mid field or worse but with a lack of potential speed is likely to be handier, which does become a concern if they attempt to ride with aggression.
#1 SIXTH GENERATION has found the line nicely at his three previous Sha Tin runs and now returns to his preferred track.A recent drop back in grade also places him to advantage and with a three time winning jockey back on board confidence levels are up.A big weight and tricky gate create some vulnerability but it's nevertheless difficult to envisage a poor performance.
#6 CANT GO WRONG is likely to start favourite courtesy of his ultra consistent form and low accomodating draw.Alexis Badel also remains in the saddle, which is a positive sign going forward, and suggests the pair should remain competitive at this handicap and weight. However, this is an open contest with multiple long price hopes so if he's to continue winning he must raise his game.
#3 COMET SPLENDIDO unfortunately bled in October last year and was thereafter rested as required. He didn't produce much at his first couple of runs this preparation however made noted improvement last start. He's definitely capable of rolling forward early on and potentially finding the lead, and if that scenario comes into play then you'd be hoping he's in all calculations.
#10 ATOMIC BEAUTY has been thereabouts this entire campaign and should be included as a chance. However, with just one victory from 21starts it's impossible to recommend him a genuine winning chance. However, Brendan Avdulla again takes the ride and he'll be hungry for continued success with these owners.
