Giddy Up with Gareth Hall has stormed up the Australian Podcast Ranker, climbing an incredible 76 places in September to reach #109 in the Top 300 Australian Made Podcasts.
With 49,278 unique listeners and 194,536 total downloads for the month, Giddy Up has claimed the title of Australia’s #1 racing podcast.
It is not only the only ranked racing podcast in the Top 300 - Giddy Up was also the fastest growing podcast in the entirety of the sports category.
Hall’s deep knowledge of the racing industry, combined with his engaging interviews and sharp analysis has struck a chord with punters and racing fans nationwide.
The rise came at the same time distribution of Giddy Up on radio and now television grew. The show debuted on RSN’s 16 stations in September, on top of SENTrack’s 22 stations around Australia. It can also be watched live on racing.com on channel 78 every Thursday and Friday.
The show’s meteoric rise highlights the growing appetite for racing content in the podcast space and cements Sport’s Entertainment Network’s (SEN) reputation for delivering premium sports audio programming. Giddy Up joins a strong stable of SEN podcasts in the Australian Podcast Ranker Top 300, including SEN Breakfast, Whateley, The Sounding Board, Sportsday and The Run Home with Joel & Fletch.
It was a record month for Sports Entertainment Network’s (SEN) podcasts, which had 922,892 unique listeners (up 13% month-on-month) and 4,624,330 downloads (up 17% month-on-month). SEN-produced podcasts made up 27% of all sporting podcasts in this month’s podcast ranker release, solidifying the network’s position as Australia’s leading sports audio platform.
