BET OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON: Race 7, No.7 - POINT BARROW

She was our best last time and it was an extraordinary win (at Caulfield).

You’d think she’s drawn the right part of the track to swoop. I think the straight will suit her, she doesn’t have to wind up around a bend.

It’s a good race, the Red Roses. But she’s the best bet.

VALUE OF THE DAY

FLEMINGTON: Race 8, No.12 - CLASSIC GEM

I think Classic Gem can run a great race in the Oaks at a price.

She was good coming wide against the pattern of the race in the Ethereal.

I’ve just been drawn in by the price. Around 25-1 is a bit too big for me (not to be with).

Getta Good Feeling deserves to be favourite because anecdotally and empirically the Wakeful is the most reliable form reference.

The last four favourites have won the Oaks. She was a soft winner in the Wakeful, and has a lot of room to keep improving.

But Classic Gem is double her true odds of winning.
