There is a slight query.
There is an intriguing situation surrounding a Cox Plate runner that will be watched closely this week.
Last-start Group 1 Might And Power winner Globe pulled up “a fraction sore” from his gallop over the weekend. Subsequently there is a query over his fitness for the weight-for-age classic over 2040m at The Valley this Saturday.
The Mick Price and Michael Kent Jnr-trained Globe is seen by many as the obvious pacesetter/leader in this year’s Cox Plate, indicating that speed maps and tactics could be thrown out the window if he does happen to be scratched.

But Rob Norton from Roll The Dice Racing, who owns Globe, said a call will not be made until Friday as they weigh up what to do after the seven-year-old gelding’s minor setback.
“Unfortunately there is a minor issue,” Norton told SENTrack & RSN’s Giddy Up.
“He worked great on Saturday. It was his first gallop since the good win in the Might And Power.
“He’s just pulled up a fraction sore. They didn’t think it was much, basically it’s a very minor issue.
“It was described to me as 1 out of 20 lame in his off front fetlock.”
According to Norton, the Price/Kent Jnr stable will give Globe every conceivable chance of getting up for the big race after connections paid the late entry fee.
“Probably on Friday (we will know more). He’s got to have a slow motion video test,” Norton added.
“If the race was yesterday, he wouldn’t have run. I think we just wait until Friday and let’s hope it comes good.
“If we’re being positive, Via Sistina last year at this time, she wasn’t going to run and then came out and won by plenty.
“The name is Roll The Dice so we’ll do the best we can. We’ll pay up today and there will be a final decision (on Friday).”

Price earlier told Racing.com that no risks will be taken if all and sundry are not fully satisfied with Globe.
“If that horse is not right, if I'm not happy with him, I'm not going to run him,” said Price.
“We X-rayed it. It's bone clean, but the joint capsule has an irritation where it attaches to the bone. It's more a soft tissue thing.
“On Saturday morning if the horse is not 100 per cent, he won't run."
Form analysts and speed map aficionados will be waiting with bated breath to see if Globe gets a run as the pace he injects into the race will likely give reigning camp Via Sistina the best chance of defending her crown.
If he does run, Globe will be ridden by Ben Melham in the Cox Plate for which he is currently priced at $15 with Sportsbet.
