Via Sistina - one of three Chris Waller horses in this year's race - is looking to go back-to-back.

The Cox Plate for 2025 is likely to have a smaller than normal field which will be finalised at 9am on Tuesday October 21 followed by the barrier draw.

In a change from the norm, the barrier draw sees a horse name pulled out and the connections choose their barrier.

Via Sistina - one of three Chris Waller horses in this year's race - is looking to go back-to-back at the Valley in the 2040m Group 1, and is currently the short-priced favourite (with Sportsbet).

Waller's other two are Aeliana and Buckaroo and will be ridden by Hugh Bowman and Ben melham respectively.
