Three Group 1 features at Flemington.
Derby Day is almost here and there is plenty to dissect after Wednesday's barrier draws.
The three Group 1 feature races on the opening day of the Melbourne Cup Carnival at Flemington are the Coolmore Stud Stakes, the Victoria Derby and the Empire Rose.
See the biggest winners and losers of each barrier draw below:
COOLMORE
WINNERS
In the Coolmore Stud Stakes, all of the big guns have drawn well.
Beiwacht has got pace, he'll go with McCaw, who won from an outside gate last time he was at Flemington before disappointing at Caulfield.
Both are drawn pretty well.
Tentyris has drawn in the middle of the line, but he has got speed around him, which is important down the straight.
Horses like Hidden Motive and Raging Force, he can track them up into the race in the middle part of the track.
Beadman has also drawn nicely in barrier eight.
So, Beiwacht, and also Tentyris and Beadman are the big winners, along with McGaw who is drawn out wide.

LOSERS
The big loser is My Gladiola.
We haven't walked the track yet, and we'll get a better idea on how we think that these straight races will play on the opening day of the Flemington Carnival, but usually, history tells you, you don't want to be on the inside there in a Coolmore.
So My Gladiola, she's definitely got the job in front of her.
Even Skyglider from gate 3, Legacy Bound in 4, and the other big chance Skyhook in barrier 2.
VICTORIA DERBY
The other big race, of course, is the Derby, and there should be no excuses for the favourite Observer after drawing gate number 4.
Mark Zahra's got plenty of options with that draw. He can put this horse where he wants him now from that gate. It's a great draw for him.
O’Sheamus, who was very good in the race Observer won, for Johnny O'Shea and Tom Charlton. Kerrin McEvoy rides, barrier 5 is a big tick there as well.
Even Providence should get a lovely run from barrier 12.
He’s going to be hard to beat, Observer, from gate 4.
EMPIRE ROSE
Pride Of Jenni takes on Fangirl, Fangirl is the favourite at the moment, but Pride Of Jenni, I know I love her, but she represents some great value there at that $5.50 quote.
It's a perfect gate for her in barrier 7. She'll just take her time to get across.
Fangirl needs to draw low when she takes on Pride of Jenni. She's got gate 6.
It's a smallish field, so she shouldn't be too far off them, but she does find it hard when she takes on Pride of Jenni.
Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride on Fangirl on Saturday, but looking at that speed map, it looks a beautiful setup for Pride of Jenni in the Empire Rose.
