Wyong forced to abandon races because of unsafe track

Wyong’s final three races were abandoned after two horses slipped on the home turn in the Wyong Ruby League Club Group Class One Handicap.

Cadazzle and Lady Corleone both lost their footing in the same race.

Racing NSW stewards and Wyong officials chose to immediately call an end to the meeting after consulting with senior jockeys after it was deemed the track was unsafe.

Rain had fallen earlier in the day and the track had been downgraded to a heavy eight.
