Racing & Sports expert selections.
RACE 1 - YUWILL BE THE ONE (12) gets the Winkers on replacing the blinkers following a nice return first-up over 1300m at Northam. Up in trip today but drawn well and it looks to suit looking at her racing pattern. She's right down in the weights and with improvement expected, she'll be hard to beat. BLOW BACK (2) disappointed at the end of last campaign when fading over 1800m at Pinjarra. He'll be fitter for a recent trial and he can put himself bang on speed from an inside alley. CJP rides and he can be in front for a very long way. THINK LIKA WINNER (6) just missed over the mile at Northam last start and is racing in strong form of late. The wide draw is a niggle, though Chris Parnham rides today and he can put himself right in the finish if he runs up to his latest effort. ROSIE CAN RUN (13) is better than what she showed last start and can bounce back. STRYKER'S GAL (5) showed positive signs second-up and is worth including.
RACE 2 - HOBELAR (12) ran on strongly on debut from midfield, finishing 2.1L off the winner over 1200m. Now out in trip which looks to suit and he should get a similar run in transit today. Looks a nice horse on the way up and he had good market support last time. Can shed the maiden tag. DIAMOND DANCER (13) bumped into a sharp one first-up over 1200m at Belmont and looks to find a much better set up today. Out in trip looks a good move and she draws a much better gate this time. She'll carry no weight and can go one better without surprising. JACKPOT BINGO (8) drops right back in grade following a disappointing run in Open 3YO company at Belmont last time out. The first two runs this campaign were fantastic and they rate highly for this. Sure to put his best foot forward. WAR MATTERS (6) can improve again third-up and won't be far away. FRAPPUCCINO (1) pulled up with an issue last start when favourite and can bounce back.
RACE 3 - FLOWER OF GOLD (4) jumped a 20-1 chance first-up but rattled home over the top to score by 1L in impressive fashion last star. She now gets Pike in the saddle and further improvement is expected both out in trip and second-up. Watch for her storming over the top once again. ACROSS GENERATIONS (2) drops in grade following a 1.7L defeat at Belmont last start in Open 3YO grade. Third-up now, he'll be at the peak of his powers and the slight rise in trip can suit. Finds the right race today. SIXINCH HEELS (9) looks to have plenty of class about her but just bumped into a sharp one at Belmont last time out. Drawn well again today and out in trip for the first time which is an interesting move. Stable is sharp though and she'll be in the finish. SMART SHADOW (5) can burn across and find the front from the wide draw and will take catching. SKY GOD (1) was too good at Northam last start and can repeat the dose.
RACE 4 - DIVINE IMPACT (7) was far too good at Belmont last start over 1000m and jumps right up in trip today. She showed signs in her debut campaign that she'd want further in time and the fact Chris Parnham remains in the saddle is a big tick. Can go back-to-back. WINNING SHUFFLE (3) bounced back in a big way last start at Northam in a very impressive victory. He can get a similar run in transit today and he's expected to be coming home with a wet sail. GOLDEN DORE (1) ran over the top to win narrowly at Bunbury, getting the nod in a photo finish. The win suggested he wanted a little bit further and he gets that today along with a better barrier. Can put his best foot forward again. WAY TO GO GO (6) rates well off the debut win and is worth including.
RACE 5 - AMAZING CHEAT (5) scored a good win at Bunbury last start and jumps right up in trip today. The wide draw may be a niggle if she gets a long way back, though she was strong to the line last start and that form has worked out well. Can improve again now and get the job done. ROCK IN WONDER (2) led them up over 1685m at Bunbury and bolted clear to win by 3.5L and the trainer said it will be ridden similarly in future events. While he has drawn wide today, he should be able to slide across and be prominent in the run. With a repeat effort, he'll take some beating. MIRO (3) has been around the mark for a while now and rarely puts in a bad effort. Stepping out to the 1800m again which will suit and CJP hops back in the saddle. Can be in the finish once more. MR BLING (6) just missed last start and won't be far away again with the slight rise in trip. FELLAFROMDOWNUNDER (4) can improve again third-up and has claims.
RACE 6 - PIN DEEP (1) continues to build on his impressive record, leading throughout to win by 0.4L at Northam last time out. Back to town now, though he was only narrowly beaten in Saturday grade two starts ago. Nicely placed after the claim and can win again. SWIM THROUGH (3) resumed in good order in this grade, just missing by 0.6L over 1200m. He boasts an imposing record over this trip and Chris Parnham hops in the saddle. May need a touch of luck from an outside alley, but if he can run up to what he produced fresh, he'll go very close. FINAL AUTHORITY (2) has been good in both runs this time in, both in Saturday company. Now back to the midweeks and he was a winner the last time he raced on a Wednesday. Can make his presence felt. ON THE FULL (7) is racing well and maps nicely from the draw. Include. ART OF CONSENT (6) cam find the front from a nice alley and goes well first-up. Can play a major role.
RACE 7 - SNIPPY SEAN (7) just missed last start at Bunbury when favourite but the winner there looks no slouch. Now gets the blinkers on for the first time and Chris Parnham remains in the saddle. May be back in the run, from a wide alley, but can appreciate the rise in trip and get back to winning ways. BORDER FORCE (3) hasn't won for a long time though is knocking on the door. He was good last start as favourite in Saturday grade and should get a lovely run in transit. Form has held up out of that race and he ticks plenty of boxes. AUDIO BOY (1) just missed from the back in a small field at Northam and should appreciate this set up today. CJP remains in the saddle and while the draw may be a little sticky, he has improvement to come and won't be far away. LORD RANDOLPH (11) is ticking along nicely and has to be included. ANGEL'S MY NAME (9) can find the front and be in this for a very long way.
RACE 8 - GOD'S GATE (10) was super last start in Maiden company at Belmont when leading them up and kicking clear for a dominant win. He's shown pace from out wide previously and can do so again today. Looks to have plenty of class about him and can win again. PROCESSIO (12) resumes today on the back of a nice trial and Pike hops in the saddle fresh. That's a big push for her chances as she looks a progressive mare on the way through. Just missed first-up last campaign and she looks nicely placed in this event. AHYEAHRIGHTO (4) is racing well and finished 2.2L off the winner at Belmont in Saturday grade most recently. Up to this trip for the first time looks to suit and he should get every chance from the draw. Can play a major role. RON'S FINALFLUTTER (14) looks a nice horse on the way up and has claims with his form stacking up from last start. MILLSTEE (11) can peak third-up now and has claims.
