Racing & Sports expert selections.
RACE 1 - THE KILL CLUB (7) is a Ace High mare on debut for the sharp juvenile stable of Adam Chambers. Found the line nicely in sole lead-up trial and is drawn to get a soft run. Bright start anticipated. IN YOUR WORDS (10) also resumes and is another that appears to have come on nicely during her spell after placing in a trial. Should be competitive. LUDO (1) has certainly found the maiden win elusive but strikes one of his best chances to shed the tag. Keeping safe. SUTHERLAND (6) will improve with that run under the belt. In the mix.
RACE 2 - THE LAST FLASH (13) closed off nicely into a midfield finish when resuming in town at the latest. The subsequent form has stuck up superbly in 29 days. Improvement anticipated with that run under the belt. Leading player. FRONTAL ATTACK (11) progressed nicely last start at Donald when knuckling down gamely to hold down second. Peaking now and will enjoy a nice drops in the weights. Can give this a big shake. ROCKIN' DEE FOX (1) warmed to his task nicely over the concluding stages on debut at Mornington. Expected to feature with improvement to come. YIASOU (2) missed the placings first up recently but was not too far from the winner when fifth at Horsham. Comes on the fresh side. Will drift back but wind up late. Don't dismiss.
RACE 3 - FREE BEER (3) disappointed fresh but went better than the form reads second up, only beaten 2.4L at Morphettville. Peaking now and is drawn to get the gun run. The one to beat as he hunts to break a long run of outs. FIRST RETURN (2) dug deep to shed his maiden tag when resuming at Horsham. Lightly raced type that should improve with that run under the belt. Main danger. DANGEROUS SECRET (4) never looked likely last start at Warracknabeal when always well back but had been racing in much better order prior. Willing to overlook last start and with Tourneur back on she can bounce back sharply. BINGOESBANG (10) hasn't won for a long time but is showing some signs of life. Inside draw gives him every chance. OVABENT (7) returns and tackles an easier field to what he was facing last campaign. Keeping safe.
RACE 4 - COMMANDER MEROO (5) was an impressive winner two back when rattling home from a rearward position at Morphettville Parks. Not as effective last start but was still fair through the line. Drops back to a winning trip and gets weight off. Can get the job done. MISO (1) wasn't far away here last start when finishing fourth. Kept fresh for this with 44-days between runs, over a trip he relishes. Right in this. SO YOU CAN (6) let down in great style to score a deserved win last time at Casterton. Is another that races best over this journey and there's no reason he can't repeat the dose. JUST LIKE LISA (3) returned in great order at Bordertown when working home over the top to win. Goes well second-up and is worth following up. ANJOPIN (2) returns in a much more suitable assignment than he contested last campaign. Keeping onside.
RACE 5 - MR LINCOLN (3) warmed to his task nicely late second-up over 2400m at Sandown-Hillside. Added trip won't bother third-up. Nearing peak and should prove tough to hold out. SMILING ASSASSIN (1) is a consistent type that again took a solid account of himself in town at the latest. Faces a less daunting assignment this time. Best form puts him right in this. EAGLELOU (5) continues to be thereabouts without winning, the latest effort a second over 2500m at Morphettville. This is easier and he's right in the mix. WUDDZZ (4) hit the frame two starts ago at Sandown-Hillside but ran below par last time at. Can give this a big shake if he brings his A-game.
RACE 6 - OAMARU POPPY (7) progressed nicely last time out to finish second over 1200m at Naracoorte. No tougher this time and can get the job done. MOORAK MISS (11) closed off nicely into a midfield finish behind Omaru Poppy last start when resuming. Will appreciate the rise in trip and can play a major role. THEY CALL ME DUSTY (2) went forward from the low draw last time before fading to finish fifth. Drops back in trip on the short turnaround and is right in the mix. TRAK CHILLER (8) hasn't won for a long time but rates highly on best figures and is in the mix for this suitable assignment.
RACE 7 - BONNAROO (4) has returned in great order this campaign as she shoots for the hat-trick. Claim helps offset the weight rise and looks a top chance again. ANY LUCK (10) was well in the market but disappointed backers when only managing a midfield fifth over 1800m at Horsham. Comes in on the fresh side and drops back to a winning trip. Main danger. NO NEW TRICKS (5) progressed nicely last time out to finish just half a length from the winner in third at Bairnsdale. Likely improver who can give this a big shake. SUGAR AND SWEET (3) turned in a decent effort last start when he worked home well to finish third. Likely improver with strong prospects.
