RACE 1 - LITERATURE TYCOON (6) big improver at second race start when coming from near last on the turn for a sound fourth over 1500m here on August 22. Can race closer from the good gate and prove hard to hold out. TORIE'S ROSE (5) trained locally and like the way she attacked the line late when second over 1500m here on August 22. Finds a fairly soft maiden and has genuine top-three prospects. SUAY MAM'SELLE (9) stalked the speed and kept giving on the line when a close-up third over 1500m here on August 22. Well drawn again and expected to figure prominently. SHINE LIKE IT DOES (4) races best with her runs spaced and showed plenty of grit late when sitting on the speed to finish second over 1600m at Wyong on August 18. Hard fit and has each way claims.
RACE 2 - DARLING DOWNS (1) Deep Field mare resuming from a lengthy break after displaying ability in town last time in. Showed good speed from the wide gate when a tiring fourth to Stand Aside over 1300m at Warwick Farm on April 1. Fitted with two trials and expected to go close from the low draw. RUGBY (3) resumes after surging late on debut when a narrow third over 1250m at Canterbury on June 10. Has the two trials under the belt and should relish this trip and further. CAVENDISH (5) is a three-year-old gelding by Capitalist out of Everlasting Love on debut for the Peter Snowden stable. Had three trials in readiness for this and the inside gate is a bonus. SHERIFF'S STAR (10) having his third start today after disappointing from the wide gate when fourth over 1300m at Scone on August 30. Improver.
RACE 3 - CHIBA (4) nicely bred three-year-old colt from the Waterhouse & Bott yard by Exceed And Excel from the quality mare Ichihara who has produced a winner at stakes level. Has shown his ability in two recent trials and expected to go close. GENEROUS HARRY (1) has race experience on his side after disappointing as fav on resumption when a tiring fourth over 1000m at Wyong on September 1. Further improved and the tongue-tie goes on. MOTORBIKE (7) is a gelding by Epaulette out of Mondial on debut for the James Cummings stable. Clearly strengthened since his first trial last year and looks set for a bright start. ISTOLEA MERC (2) four-year-old gelding by Winning Rupert out of Mercedes on debut for the Baker yard. Has shown promise in all three trials and he maps to get the right run.
RACE 4 - CELERITY (3) savaged the line late on resumption when a narrow third over 1100m at Warwick Farm on August 21. Clearly returned well and shouldn't be a maiden for long. Go close. GANGSTA GRANNY (8) came out fast from the wide draw on debut when a tenacious third over of 1150m at Randwick Kensington on August 14. Drawn out again in this easier contest. Solid top three prospect. FLEETING SPIRIT (6) three-year-old filly by Per Incanto out of Caserta on debut for the Ryan & Alexiou yard. Two trials have been sound, and a forward showing is expected. AHELLBENDA (2) solid debut when she ran on late to finish third over 1000m here on August 22. Fitter now and will appreciate the extra 100m.
RACE 5 - PASIMA (1) unwanted in betting when resuming over an unsuitable trip, to finish a surprise third over 1200m at Warwick Farm in BM72 company on August 21. Fitter now and gets out to his right trip with the claim. Leading player. COPACABANA (2) progressive Toronado gelding who got off the mark at start six with a dominant 1.75 len victory over 1400m at Newcastle on August 29. Gets map favours again and worth noting he finished unplaced in the Caulfield Guineas last year. CRISTAL CLEAR (5) returned a much stronger colt this time in after winning at his second run back over 1600m at Goulburn on August 25. Confidence levels are high and Jason Collett sticks. IN ISO (6) claim helps and he has very rough place prospects.
RACE 6 - Solid race with plenty of chances. WHISKER TO WHISKER (10) races best with her runs spaced and has an okay record over this course and distance. Kept coming on the line when fourth over 2000m at Kembla Grange on August 10. Senior rider booked and can race a little closer here. FAKHRA (5) finally got off the mark at start 12 with a commanding 3 len victory over 1850m at Newcastle on August 24. Ready for the big jump in class. DUBAI SHOWGIRL (7) scored a tough win over the 2400m three-back at Kembla and has been thereabouts since. Claim helps again and not to be underestimated. HIGHBORN HARRY (1) holding his form well and showed plenty of grit with the 60kg when third over 1800m here on August 22. Ready for the trip now and has solid claims.
RACE 7 - OPAL FIELDS (11) Deep Field mare resuming with a good fresh record. Anchored with the 59kg when a poor sixth over 1200m at Canberra on March 29. Has the two trials under the belt and expected to sprint well fresh. BOSS (3) two runs back have been better than they appear and will relish the 2kg claim from the low draw. Maps well and not to be underestimated. SNITZAROO (8) has the two wins from eight starts and strips fitter for this after showing plenty of grit when a narrow second over 1000m at Nowra on August 12. Has won second-up and the drop in weight will help. MR BINGO (5) running into a bit of form and goes well over this course and trip.
RACE 8 - HOUSE OF CARDS (1) promising Exceed And Excel gelding who created a big impression when scoring first-up over the 1300m here on August 1. Drifted back early and plugged away late when third over 1400m at Warwick Farm in BM72 class on August 21. Maps well on the firmer surface and expected to return to form. THREATENING (5) fourth-up for this and lone win came at this track. No match for Komodo Dragon late when third over 1400m at Kembla Grange on August 31. Blinkers go on and no excuses here. CARPACCIO (7) finished in the minor money at all three runs back this time in and due for a change of luck. Will sit up on the speed and give plenty of cheek. KIRRAGIRL (12) third-up today and won third-up previously. Drops in weight and she can sneak into the minor money.
