RACE 1 - SUNRISE AT KIRRA (12) resumed in solid order and then was on speed again beaten a nose. She will be fitter and will use an inside barrier. She can go one better. SKY EAGLE (15) has laid a solid foundation for this contest and gets some weight relief. Maps okay and will be his chance. Stablemate CAUGHT ALIGHT (7) will run along from the low barrier he was much better last time and Newitt sticking is a decent push for her chances. BAYBOUGG (14) resumes for the same barn and is in light with the 2kg claim. Has trialled well and has shown enough to keep safe.

RACE 2 - LOVE NEST (7) just missed twice and then drew wide and she did a reasonable job in the circumstances. Peaks and Newitt is a key jockey switch. She will race handier and is worth another chance. STERREK (6) raced forward and improved sharply placing over this trip. Fitter again and pires sticks and will use the inside barrier. He should go close. RIPPEN GOLD (4) missed a whisker twice over this distance and didn't quite run out the mile following. This suits better and he can make the finish with average luck from the awkward barrier. SCANDALOUS AFFAIR (5) is third up and can show more. Gives away starts and needs good rides.

RACE 3 - NICCO THE GREEK (1) won this grade first-up and it was a tough effort from the wide draw. He's sure to have come on and has raced well at Stakes level over this distance. Draws to advantage today and has placed 3/4 second-up. PEROLA (7) deserved the CL2 win and that stacks up. Newitt stays aboard and she's also got winning claims. VERBANO (5) tries hard and can go better up in trip. CREATIVE LICENCE (8) chased gamely to just miss the placings here last start. Rates highly on best figures and is among the main chances.

RACE 4 - Competitive. PAGE (7) was back to his best beaten a whisker in a 70. She's capable of going one better if things go her way. Stablemate MONTEZULU (6) spiked his figures winning the CL1 easily over this distance and that stacks up. He tumbles in weight this grade with a 2kg claim atop and that brings him into it. METAVERSE (3) was only beaten 2L in the Page race stepping up to the middle distance. He will be fitter again and has more to give. Maps well. SOUTHERN WIND (4) spiked his figures winning that contest. Keeps Newitt and just has to hold the form to feature.

RACE 5 - Competitive. AGNETE (6) missed a whisker this trip in stronger and then didn't have the best of it this grade behind Steel Mist. She's likely to settle closer today and has solid each-way claims. DAYAN STAR (1) disappointed in the same contest but brought back-to-back wins to that. Keeps the 1.5kg claim and gets another chance. ADACHI (2) is busting to win and the step-up to the mile shouldn't bother. He rates well and maps for a soft run. STEEL MIST (12) started at big odds but he was a big winner and will be right in it holding that form. Some trust is required but he gets in well again with the 3kg claim.

RACE 6 - Competitive. KALIUWAA FALLS (4) was quickly back on track beaten 1L over 1400m. Has three wins over the trip and is proven third-up. SIR SIMON (5) went close and then led beating the above home. The veteran will have no trouble managing the extra metres and Pires will give him every chance from the inside barrier. JUST A NEEDS (8) spit the above pair and will be better for the outing. Won his only start at this course/trip and is also a player. ASHY BOY (3) will come into his own over further but he has won fresh and placed his only go at a mile. No surprise to see the Listed placegetter come home hard.

RACE 7 - RUBBLE 'N' FUDD (9) missed a lip here on debut and was quickly back on track winning the CL1 over this distance. It was a big effort and he draws inside today. He's promising and fitter is capable of taking the next step. STARDARMUS (3) went back-to-back and has been within range the two since in stronger. Newitt is a key jockey switch and he's a chance to go one better. JEHBENTI (5) resumed in the same race in good order and has plenty up the sleeve. Is right up to this and fitter has claims. RESTRICTED ACCESS (7) couldn't bring up the hat-trick last start under the big weight but is better placed this time. Don't underestimate.
