RACE 1 - NEW YORK HURRICANE (3) is ticking along superbly this campaign. Only missed by a head last start at Mildura, adding to a run of close finishes. Nicely placed to return to winning ways. CHOSEN MISS (8) picked up sharply in the lane here a fortnight ago to get the verdict. Plenty to like about the win and a similar effort will have her on the finish again. EXALTED RUTH (6) knuckled down strongly here a fortnight ago to score with authority over 1800m. The rise in trip suits at this point of the prep, a journey she shoulders a strong record. Likely to feature again. EUREKA'S VICTORY (7) gave backers a great sight two back when leading pillar-to-post to hold off New York Hurricane at Mildura. Not as effective last start but is capable of bouncing back. Cases can also be made for last-start winner TEST THE LAW (2) and MONTEPULCIANO (4).

RACE 2 - THE GOLDEN FIST (7) returns for the smart R & C Jolly stable and reunites with gun hoop Jake Toeroek, who partnered the filly when missing by a head on debut at Morphettville Parks last August. Worth treading carefully off the 350-day break but a trial win here in readiness suggests she can make a bright return. HALLIWELL (8) is on the short turnaround after again closing off nicely into the frame at Murray Bridge. Should be at her peak now. Watch for her climbing over their backs late. SOLESUN (5) returns for team Clarken & O'Shea. Missed narrowly when resuming at Murray Bridge last campaign, so he can run well fresh. Strips fitter for a recent trial here in readiness. Will pay to watch what the market thinks. HYPERNOVA (1) is likely to drift back from the wide alley and be saved for the final shot at them. Keep safe.

RACE 3 - STAUNCH (1) returned with a bang at Geelong when rattling home over the top to score. Improvement to come second-up. He can repeat the dose. PUISSY GALORE (10) hit the line nicely when making a handy return over a trip far short of her best at Murray Bridge. Much better suited over this distance and carries a feather with the 3kg claimer engaged. Can give this a big shake. GOVERNOR KING (2) made a complete mess of his rivals last start at Sale in testing conditions. Tougher this time but hard to ignore his emphatic win. BURNING BRIGHT (8) was below her best here a fortnight ago when finishing fifth but was only beaten narrowly the start prior on the Parks track. Her best can measure up. RED SEQUOIA (9) is another that is mixing her form but is worth keeping safe in the exotics.

RACE 4 - MERCHANT BOSS (2) has been mixing his form this campaign but his best efforts stack up superbly. Steps out to a winning trip on the quick back-up and is a leading contender. RIALTOR (1) bounced back to form last start when producing a brave front-running display here a fortnight ago. Rises to a winning distance now and gets the chance to break a long run of outs. STRATUM PRIDE (13) is going better than her form suggests. Is another that steps out in trip on the short turnaround and gets in low at the weights with the 2kg claimer engaged. Don't underestimate. RESERVOIR DOG (8) best of the rest.

RACE 5 - SACHEM (12) was in a class of his own last start over this journey when putting 6L to his nearest rivals in a well-deserved victory. Loses Kah for Crowther but has to be strongly considered. BRAVE STAR (1) knocked off the well-fancied here a last start when gaining the ascendency late. Hasn't done much wrong this prep and can give this a good shake. AITCH D'AMICO (9) continues to knock on the door this campaign but has just been lacking the killer blow. Holds plenty of appeal on the quick back-up and is capable of getting the job done. FRANCE'S BOY (10) best of the rest.

RACE 6 - CORONA LAD (1) looked the winner here last start, only to be captured narrowly on the line. Has turned in two strong efforts in as many starts and only needs to hold his form to be featuring heavily again. CROWN MINT (4) finished alongside Corona Lad last start and now meets him slightly better at the weights. Can turn the tables. HOLMES (6) scored a well-overdue success last start to put to bed the bridesmaid tag. Draws well for Crowther and there's no reason he can't go on with it now. CAPRICORN RIDGE (7) backed up his handy Gawler win with a solid minor placing here last start. Drawn sticky but is worth considering. CALL ME VEXATIOUS (9) improved nicely last start at Murray Bridge when finishing sixth in a bunched finish. Worth noting Murray reunites, partnering the gelding in all career wins. Don't dismiss.

RACE 7 - SOLAR BLAST (8) improved nicely second-up when chasing gamely into fifth in a blanket finish. Expect him to be peaking now and has Toeroek sticking for a well-associated stable. Ready. PORTATION (3) only warmed to his task late fresh when making solid inroads in the lane. Steps out to a winning trip four weeks between runs and is a noted second-up performer. Holds appeal. KOMACHI (1) shoulders terrific form lines with a stack of subsequent winners around him. Is aided under the big weight with the 2kg claimer piloting. Well placed to make his presence felt again. THE HASS (7) was a controlled winner fresh but failed to follow it up last time when clearly below his best. Kept on the fresh side with four weeks between runs. Can make a big bounce back.

RACE 8 - It's another cracking edition of the Behemoth Stakes. SECOND TO NUN (9) shocked punters first-up over a trip presumed shy of her best, rattling late to score by a lip to Karacasu. Rise in trip suits. Want to be with her the whole way through off that win. SEE YOU IN HEAVEN (8) is the noted class horse in this field. Has been tackling quality opposition throughout her career, with this looking one of her easiest assignments to date. Is a track and trip specialist but choosing to tread carefully off only fair trial in. Stablemate KARACASU (5) looked the winner at the top of the straight fresh, only to be captured on the line by Second To Nun. Better for the hit-out and is a noted second up performer. CHICAGO STORM (1) turned the page last campaign, becoming a Listed winner and a G3 place-getter. The improvement can be put down to the positive change in tactics. Will prove a handful if the stable stick to what's worked. BOOGNISH (10) and AIR ASSAULT (2) are other class gallopers.

RACE 9 - DEEPFLOAT DIVA (6) is ready to make his return after enjoying a successful debut prep. Returns off a long break (280 days) but the lead-up trials have been impressive so a forward showing is anticipated. Toeroek piloting only adds to confidence. ZANTHRON (3) didn't give his rivals a sniff here last start when leading pillar-to-post. Carries more weight in a very similar assignment. JEAN VALJEAN (1) caught everyone's eye first up when rattling home to just miss at Murray Bridge. Improvement to come but lugs a big weight. WATCHME WIN (13) wasted no time shedding his maiden tag, scoring stylishly at Murray Bridge. Improvement to come but this is a big test.
