RACE 1 - UMABETT (15) switched from Neasham-Archibald's Sydney yard and narrowly missed at Ipswich in an Open 2. In September last year, she was only beaten 2.8L in the Group 3 Gimcrack Stakes on debut. She maps for a soft run and she will be improved. Gollan-trained EXPLOSIVE TYCOON (3) resumed well-supported at Toowoomba and found a place despite racing new. She'd trialled well at Doomben prior and will have taken fitness and learning. Draws out but a gun hoop is booked and he has to be kept safe on an each-way basis. TESSATORI (14) brings narrow defeats from the Sunshine Coast and Doomben and the longer sprint suits. Draws awkwardly but keeps the handy 3kg claim and is a winning chance. Maloney goes aboard the improving FRATIANNO (4) and the gelding deserves consideration.

RACE 2 - STEEL KING (9) led beaten a whisker at Ipswich over this distance as a $3.25 favourite. Peaks today and is still shy of his Victorian best. She may control the race from the inside barrier and will prove hard to beat. Gollan-trained NO BRAKES (5) was only beaten 1.4L at Ipswich on debut surprising the market. Settled last from the wide gate and it was a big effort. He's sure to have come on and the gun hoop stays aboard. Stablemate BIG DEMEANOR (1) was nudged out at Doomben before a spell. He resumed heavily bet at Rockhampton beaten a whisker. Jumps from a wide barrier by Maloney is reunited and that helps offset. He will keep improving. CASANOVA MAN (2) resumed in good order beaten a whisker at the Sunshine Coast. That stacks up and he will be fitter. He's also disadvantaged by a wide barrier.

RACE 3 - DIRT CHEAP (4) switched from a North Queensland yard and led and belted the 58 graders at Gatton first-up. He'd won a CL1 at Mackay prior by a similar margin. She will use the low barrier and the premier metro hoop stays aboard. Fitter and can take the next step. FIRST PERSON (8) was much better beaten 1L in a CL3 at Eagle Farm. She races forward and has been kept on the fresh side. She has more up her sleeve and has winning claims. FIELD OF MYRTLE (7) switched from a Sydney barn and missed a nose at Grafton freshened. She jumps from the inside gate and runs along. Peaks and is also has claims. VELOCE METEOR (6) brings tidy synthetic form and can't be ruled out.

RACE 4 - RESURRECTED (2) runs along and has been switched from Neasham-Archibald's Sydney barn on a 19-day return. He's third-up off a near miss at Queanbeyan heavily bet and has plenty up the sleeve. The mile suits and Orman's booking is a decent push for his chances. MIDORI MOVER (10) came back to this trip at Doomben beaten 1L. There was a lot to like about that and she will present at peak fitness. Collett sticks and she's likely to push forward. FINE AND RARE (4) needs the 1640m and has metropolitan form that will see her very competitive. Gets in well with the 3kg and maps for the run of the race. SHY REBEL (13) and TARANAKI (9) are both in good hands and will be better second-up. Keep onside.

RACE 5 - KIND WISH (6) has laid a solid foundation for the mile with two tidy efforts here in stronger. The 1.5kg claim assists (the apprentice is 1/1 on the mare) and she positions forward. Proven third-up and gets the nod. FREE CARRY (9) led winning a 55 comfortably at Rockhampton over this distance and rates well. He has a 3kg claim today and can make short work of the awkward barrier. He's in the premier barn and will keep improving. CAPE CRUSADER (8) is super consistent and a senior rider takes over from the 3kg apprentice. Her form at this distance reads well. PEROVIC (4) won well at Lismore and then tacked a Highway at Randwick and has excuses. He's trialled well since and Orman's booking suggests he's pleasing. Draws inside and that should advantage. TAMBOURINE MAN (5) won the CL2 this track/trip defying the market. He keeps the 3kg claim and he'll get some of the money holding that form.

RACE 6 - YET HE MOVES (5) found a place behind the two stablemates here over this trip in a 70. He won this grade/trip/track three back and Maloney rides for the first time and is striking at 27% with the Waller yard. He can use the rail and is the one to beat. FERNAO (1) peaks and the former Irish galloper is suited at best. He's been switched from Sydney by the sharp Neasham-Archibald yard on a 17-day return. Has the blinkers first-time applied and benefits from a 1.5kg claim. Bred to be good and the middle distance should be right up his alley. SAVILEO (10) hasn't won for a long while but he brings threatening middle-distance form. Has weight relief and looks well-placed. GRINZINGER KNIGHT (2) can control the race and excels at this trip. Has a handy 3kg claim and is sure to give a sight. SECURITY ADVISOR (4) has been racing in better class and is in the mix.

RACE 7 - ANTONITO (7) resumes for the Vandyke yard and her metropolitan form reads well. She owns a trial win and will be naturally improved. Races handy and he was scratched from a winnable race earlier in the program. LUMENS LENNY (8) resumes and is proven fresh. Showed plenty in town last preparation and will be naturally improved. An inside barrier is a plus and Orman's booking is a decent push for his chances. Gollan-trained DANCE WIZZARD (3) stalked the speed winning an Ipswich Maiden on debut. He was expected to need the outing and is sure to keep building. Has to manage an awkward barrier but keeps Maloney and that offsets to a degree. BEAUTANTES (1) is third-up and has more to give. Maps well and the 1.5kg claim assists. VOLCANIC LOVE (6) resumes and is also in the mix.

RACE 8 - Competitive. MAID TO FIT (8) raced twice at Listed level and then ran favourite here last start beaten 2L over a shorter sprint. Peaks today and she flies at the track/distance. She has weight relief and 4x winning rider Orman is reunited. Jumps from the rails gate and the speed-bred mare is ready to win. LUBRICATION (1) missed a nose here this grade/trip spiking his figures. Maps well and a 3kg claimer goes aboard. He also has winning claims. Gollan-trained BLAKMAX (3) has won and gone close at this track at her last two. Comes back in grade and is a player. BECAMO (14) runs along and best to assess his ability on the spacious CL2 win at Kilcoy. Tackled a Group 3 following over a mile outgraded. Carries a feather and is sure to give a sight.
