RACE 1 - TIME TO PROPHET (4) won a trial and then belted the Maidens here by 3L on debut. Will use the rail and Butler goes on. Fitter and she sets a decent standard. DANCE FOR ME RANDY (1) debuted on the same day and just missed. Has trialled well and Murphy gets off the above to stick. The colt can make the quinella again. MARGOT BARBIE (5) was beaten 3L behind the top selection on debut and didn't have the best of it. In the mix here. LOVE 'N' VISION (7) debuts and has trialled well. A betting watch.
RACE 2 - COSMIC LEGEND (1) switched from a Sydney barn and only missed a whisker first-up. He has plenty up his sleeve and the extra distance suits. Should have them covered. OH MY HAT (15) has switched from a NSW barn on a 31-day return. Drops back to Maiden grade and his form stacks up. Sits down in the weights and keep safe. JAZZ WORTHY (6) draws wide but resumed with a solid effort and has placed 2/2 second-up. Her best would have her in the finish. LAIDE (12) has been around the mark without winning. The 3kg claim is handy but the outside gate makes it tough.
RACE 3 - CAPTAIN BOND (1) switched barns and won the 60 here first-up well-supported. Draws low and has a handy 3kg claim today. Has plenty up the sleeve and fitter will take a stack of beating. WANNA TWEET (11) just missed in that contest leading them up. She's threatening and can form the quinella. DON'T TELL LEEANNE (3) resumed in stronger beaten 1L. A chance at best and finally has a low barrier. COLD POWER (6) has a wide gate but the hot hoop is onboard. Will be better third up and his best would have him in the frame.
RACE 4 - MAKE IT HAPPEN (7) just missed and then held a place here and didn't have the best of it. Finally draws a low gate and Stanley is a key jockey switch. Has some weight relief and can go one better. HEZABUSYBEE (1) resumes and has switched from a Victorian yard and has placed fresh. Gets two key gear additions and should have the early speed to manage the awkward barrier. The easy Maiden win stacks up. POWER PUFF (8) has switched from a Sydney barn and is up to this at best. Has to manage the outside gate but rates a betting watch. MARANZANO (2) got close at Innisfail and may be the best of the rest.
RACE 5 - HARCH ROAD (7) resumes for a top barn and led and won a Rockhampton Maiden by 4L when last seen. Has trialled well and sits down in the weights in this grade. Stanley is booked and that's a decent push for his chances. BEAU RAIN (1) resumes and impressed heavily-bet in his brief prior preparation. Draws low with a 2kg claim and is also a player. NAZORIAN (3) improved to win at a non-TAB and then was much better again beaten 1L this grade at Innisfail. Should have the early speed to manage the wide gate and is a decent chance to bounce. BETTA AL (4) missed the hat-trick in the same race after a slow start. Won this grade in Cairns prior by 8L and has to be given another chance.
RACE 6 - O'MUDGEE (3) improved his figures at Eagle Farm and then just missed this grade at Mackay. Butler sticks and the mile is no bother. The one to beat. WISE DRAGON (6) missed a nose here this trip spiking his figures. Will use the rail and gets a stack of weight relief. Would be right in it holding the form. CIAO BICKY (8) won that contest and also gets in light. The wide gate makes it trickier today. OLYMPIC KORCHNOI (4) will be around the mark forgiving the latest.
RACE 7 - Competitive. BONES (2) continues to hold a decent level of form. Was heavily bet just missing here the latest. Has a wide gate today and has to run out the extra 200m. A decent chance all the same. GAME THEORY (7) has been threatening and also rates well. He can position forward and is a winning hope. TARA JASMINE (3) won here this grade and then finished it off okay over 1200m after. Will likely give them a start but is in the mix. JETSKI (8) peaks and is also going well enough to feature in an open race.
RACE 8 - CROWNING MOMENT (3) improved again winning the 65 here easily and then missed a nose in a 60 heavily bet. A 2x winning rider is reunited and drawn handy he can bounce back. ANTAGONISER (1) has the same form line and there was nothing in at Rockhampton off the all-the-way win there. Has a wide gate but will be in the finish with average luck. FREDERICK THE DANE (5) has the rail and was narrowly beaten here 12 days ago in a 65. Finds a bit easier and the draw should advantage. LISTEN LISTEN (15) won the 55 here after a tough run and is in the mix building on that. TYCOON BABY (11) would be a player if she backs up after 3-days.
