RACE 1 - PUISSY GALORE (9) was spelled off a 1L defeat over 1700m. Is third-up off two solid efforts here and was a $3 favourite her latest at the mile. Has trialled since and has a low gate and Crowther aboard. Ready for the middle distance and will be hard to beat. GREY FOLLY (7) has threatened her last two this distance range and raced a $3 favourite at Gawler a month ago. Gets in well with the 2kg claim and should get every chance to go one better. CAMBERWOOD (1) races forward and gives himself every chance. Just missed at Naracoorte stepping up to this trip for the first time and Holder is reunited. A chance from a low barrier. MILITARY ACTION (4) was just beaten in the same race and won't be far away.
RACE 2 - CHIARO (2) switched from a Victorian barn and resumed narrowly beaten at Balaklava. Followed with a 2L defeat at The Parks and had to work hard early. Will be fitter again and the on-pacer finds the right race. ASTROMANCER (8) was quickly back to form missing a whisker here second-up in a 58. She draws for the run of the race and has more up her sleeve. Fitter and will should go close. THE BULL MCCABE (5) was good here before the close second at Naracoorte as favourite. Has the speed to clear the awkward barrier and has a key jockey switch to Pannell. A hope. REVOLUTION BELLE (11) led beaten 1L in the same contest and may control the race from the paint. In well with the 2kg claim and can keep improving.
RACE 3 - BIT OF A REBEL (1) won the 56 here first-up and has placed the two since in stronger than this. Can lead or box seat from the low barrier and keeps a handy 3kg claim. In good hands and can win hitting this at peak fitness. PUNCHIN (5) is third-up and also brings a decent effort from Morphettville over this distance. Keeps Crowther and will push forward from the awkward barrier. Fitter and ready to win. A TOUCH FROSTY (4) was good placing over 1706m before the spell and resumed with a solid effort at Balaklava over 1400m. Should enjoy a soft run and is a chance at best. SEAFARING (6) drops back in grade and distance with a 2kg claim. Needs to be kept onside.
RACE 4 - RABTAT (1) resumed off Stakes grade in a 64 and looked in need of the outing. Has trialled well since at Morphettville and stripping fitter can show more. Has plenty up his sleeve and will get every chance from the handy gate. Wins near best. DARE TO BE FREE (3) led and won the maiden easily here and can build on that. Has the low barrier and handy 2kg claim. PILLOW GUY (5) was plain at Naracoorte as favourite but led just missing here in a 56 here prior. That reads alright and he gets plenty of weight relief this grade with a 2kg claimer atop. In the mix. SASSY ANGEL (6) went close at long odds at Balaklava and won't be far away holding that form.
RACE 5 - Competitive. LORD MORTON (4) missed a short head here before the spell and 1L on resumption both at this track. Raced a firm favourite in both and has a top hoop on today replacing the 3kg apprentice. Draws well and fitter he can take it out. TUPOLEU (5) was disappointing in the 60 at Gawler and best to go on the win this grade prior at The Bridge. Is likely to secure the run of the race and the in-form Holder sticking is a lead. A chance to bounce. FOUR WINDS (9) resumed with a solid effort and the second-up record is good. Has the rail and her best would have her right in the finish. NO ENTITLEMENT (11) resumed with close-up placing at Gawler in better grade and then didn't have the best of it at Balaklava. Expect the longer sprint to suit and she keeps the handy 3kg claim. May sit handier today from a better gate and can't be ruled out.
RACE 6 - LYNDA'S LEGACY (2) resumed here in stronger beaten 2.5L and raced very wide. Won the 58 here two-back this grade and trip and keeps the handy 3kg claim. Has a sticky gate but stripping fitter should go close. EMINENCIA (8) peaks and should be ready to show more. Holder just missed on her first up and is reunited. Usually gives them a start but will hit the line. WHENTHEDEELINGSDUN (1) will push forward from a wide barrier and was better here 24 days ago. The 2kg claim is handy and her best figures are good enough for this. In good hands and no surprise if she shows more. AUNTY DOLL (6) will enjoy the run of the race and can springboard second-up. A player at best.
RACE 7 - COMMANDER MEROO (2) was back to form winning here this grade and then tackled much stronger in town and got too far back. Not sure the ace draw will prove ideal but he looks well-placed to bounce. ARMAMENT (9) has had three runs this preparation all solid. Has been briefly freshened and may sit closer. Should be ready to show his best at a price. MR RODMAN (4) found the grade a bit hot at Naracoorte but missed a whisker here first-up prior in a CL2. Races forward and fitter is sure to give a sight. PETERZANO (10) resumed with an easy 58 win here and then raced favourite at Gawler and pulled up with an issue. Is back after a month and Holder stays in the saddle. He's good enough and is also a hope.
