A strong showing in the Cockram has Aviatress ready to fire at Morphettville Parks on Saturday.

Opting to tackle the Group 3 Cockram Stakes over the Lightning three weeks ago, Aviatress produced a new career peak when chasing gamely into fourth (1.2L) behind talented Kiwi mare Quintessa.

Running to 105 on the Racing and Sports scale, Aviatress will appreciate reuniting with gun hoop Jake Toeroek and only has to reproduce that figure to be taking care of her rivals.

Another one I'm keen on is Lavish Thinker from the Phillip Stokes stable.

While this son of So You Think doesn't win out of turn, he is going much better than his form reads. Savaging the line in his two return efforts, the rise to 1950m looks perfect third-up and I expect him to take plenty of stitching, especially if Neindorf can utilise the inside draw.
