Mosheen entered for Flemington

Trainer Robert Smerdon has sprung a surprise by nominating Mosheen for Saturday’s meeting at Flemington.

While the Aurie’s Star is the feature race on the program, Mosheen has been nominated in the $100,000 Dean Millson and Brenda Nugent Handicap.

She has been given the weight of 63kgs but apprentices can claim.

After a successful hit-out in a trial at Cranbourne last Monday, Smerdon was planning to run Mosheen in another trial.

As it stands, no final decision has been made, but Smerdon wants to keep his options open.
